If TBooze thinks that Leo wasn't atrocious then he can't have watched much HW boxing. TBooze you are wrong and Terry is right. Some opinions about Boxing (in fact most) can be debated. But the Quality of Leo can't be debated as he was ****.

I am suggesting you are not one of the 250 best Heavyweights in world. I think the odds are very much in my favour!

There you go. Thought it was a disgrace matching the poor sod with Joshua, could have had him seriously hurt, so what if it was Joshua's debut? And to sell it as the main event at the O2, Christ Almighty.

I'm being deadly serious here, I've seen better HW's with 20-30 losses and just a few wins, who could move better,Defend better and punch better than that Leo Fella.

I know I've said this about 4 times already on numerous threads but i will repeat it again, it was Genius by Hearn and Co to make this match. Inspired scouting and match making. The casuals will see that he KO'ed a 8-0 fighter and lap it up, when in reality Joshua just beat someone worse than guys with losing records.

I have never been on Twiter,Facebook etc in my life but am tempted to make an account just to congratualte Hearn on this masterstroke. On Friday Hearn on sky Sports was saying it was insane in Picking 8-0 Leo for his first fight but he Knew what was up really.:yep

'atrocious' is an abstract/loaded term. I would suggest Joshua could do what he did last night to anyone outside the top 150 professional Heavyweights in the world. And being rated in the top half of all the professional Heavyweights (according to boxrec) would suggest to me Leo is not 'atrocious'.

    what rankings are these?

the same rankings that have enzo mac and tony bellew higher then nathan clev?

the same rankings that had a 1-9 fighter (with his only win being from a cut) in the top ten super bantamweights at one point?

the same rankings that have fury(not bashing him) as third best heavyweight?

the same rankings that had audley higher then price a month after he got koed by him?

F uck Boxrec, i use my eyes to Judge, Leo was Atrocious and its not even up for debate. I would like to think there is at least 500 better HW's out there then Leo, if not then the HW division is worse than i even thought.

Boxrec has a decent value amongst the profession. I may disagree with some of their ratings, but to be fair to them they try and put a quantitative value on all professionals. Which is something I am incapable of doing, so they deserve at least a nod.

And I would agree there are plenty of 'amateur' professional boxers. But Leo was as good as any debut opponent (on paper) of a Super Heavyweight Olympic Champion turning professional.

It was the opponent he needed, because he needed to be able to gaurentee that he could blow him out in the first round and justify the big hype and being the main event.

but lets not get things muddled and try and pretend he was anything more then a punchbag.

if big josh does the same to butlin, i will be the first to applaud him

You would? On what evidence? Two fights that have gone less than six minutes combined?

Let Joshua have his first year and a bit for free, then come the end of 2014 assess where he is.

Matchroom have already suggested he would of had a dozen a fights by then, so we should be able make an initial judgement.
