Povetkin would beat Parker who is a very average fighter points or late stoppage. To beat AJ he would have take him into the late rnds and attack as Joshua runs out of puff .I don't know if Pov could survive the early onslaught fom AJ I see him stuck on the ropes as Joshua wails away at him waiting for the ref to conveniently step in .Povetkin seems to of slowed down a bit which is unfortunate.
I don't think povetkin would see Rd 7 - that uppercut while povetkin is coming In !!!!!! Will finish the job - styles make fights - and in this one Joshua is all wrong for the 38 yr old povetkin !!!!
No way! The soup bowl they use for measuring his haircut has been handed down through generations! It can't be changed!
I think that Povetkin has the best chance against Joshua other than Wlad. That said, he's hella old and he's definitely slipped. I honestly can't favour him right now but he does have a decent chance. Let's call it 60-40 to AJ. If Sasha can get his mojo back I could see him slipping a lot of incoming and landing his own blitz in return. The key will be to force the pace and to land on AJ. But to do that he's got to take the fight to a guy built like a house and with some decent skills to boot. I'm not sure he can do it anymore. Maybe he can. Maybe.
Pity this fight probably never happens because I reckon Povetkin would really have a go, bringing out the be(a)st in Anthony X . Povetkin can be a wrecking machine himself and has the talent and skills but he is getting on in years and with AJ's size advantages I see him outgunned, out-roided and stopped after 6-8 punishing rounds. Joshua KO (to the chagrin of the british ref)
Where's the "fight isn't happening" option? Joshua's schedule - Parker, Wilder, Miller, Fury (or thereabouts). Povetkin won't get a look in. The Russians are completely clueless when it comes to professional boxing & haven't worked that out yet.
I don’t believe that Joshua has stamina issues at all. Vs Klitschko He went after Wlad in Rd 5 and damn near punched himself out trying to finish the fight there & then. Wlad capitalised on that short term fatigue but even after landing his biggest shot, Joshua still got back to his feet. A round later and the effects of Rd 5 and that shot from Wlad were gone and Joshua showed emphatically that he still carried his KO power into the Championship rounds. Vs Takam As well as preparing for Pulev, I think they were experimenting with AJs weight! He came to the scales at 250lbs and probably entered the ring closer to 260lbs. What they learned was that is too high for AJ to maintain his work rate and I seriously doubt he’ll be anywhere near that for Parker, Wilder, Fury or Povetkin, more like 240 to 244. That said Joshua was still agile and active enough to win every round Vs Takam and carried concussive power in both hands till late in the fight.
AJ certainly looked better vs Wlad in terms of speed though which shows that 254 is way too much for him. I also expect him to weigh closer to 245, cause if he will continue to bulk, it may end a disaster for him sooner or later.
