I'm only on Page 1... but so far, typical responses from people in here whenever a boxer loses a fight. As someone else mentioned, the boxer who's just lost, would/will now lose to every other boxer in existence, and was never that good. It's called recency bias. Come on now. Nothing against Ortiz, seems a nice guy, but there's a reason even Wilder (who fought nobody but bums), was brave enough to step up to fight Ortiz twice... Joshua KO 100%. Don't think it would go into the second half of the fight. But, such as the beauty of heavyweight boxing, anything can always happen!

He would've been stripped. That's the reason.

No he wouldn't. Ortiz wasn't mandatory for both fights. He was at one point (before the first), but the fight got called off because Ortiz tested positive for a banned substance, so Stiverne became the mandatory instead, who Wilder fought. Wilder then decided to give Ortiz his shot anyway.

Ortiz was cleared for blood pressure meds. Wilder would’ve been stripped.

Dubois is not a better boxer than Ortiz. But things don't always go the way of the better boxer. Ortiz couldn't put away Wilder and we know Wilder is not a good boxer.

Maybe you missed thr Hrgovic fight, but Hrgovic basically teed off on Dubois's head, at will, until he got tired and was stopped on his feet. If Ortiz gets to tee off, the fight ends.

Again, maybe you missed the Wilder fight. A guy with very little skilled who Ortiz got KO'd by twice.

This is a fair point but Wilder tried not to engage for most of the fights

AJ was quality, for a very long time.

He got caught against Ruiz, but proved his level in rematch. He lost twice to probably the best boxer in history.

He's got absolutely twatted by Dubois, but this was always going to happen, he tricked people into thinking he was on a good run since losing to Usyk but it wasn't at all. It was nowhere near the level Dubois had been fighting at. AJ isn't past his best, but I highly doubt he's hungry.

Usyk took his soul, and since he's been like mid 90s Tyson. Dangerous, but mainly just turning up for the money.

Ortiz was never close to his level. Well that's unfair, but Ortiz never would have been a favourite to beat AJ. He couldn't beat Wilder in two attempts.

    Wilder>Dubois

    Wilder's power>>>>Dubois' power

Ortiz was also past his best for those fights.

Well, for the record, I think prime Ortiz would beat the Joshua Dubois beat. But an earlier version (around the Parker fight), I would favor Joshua by KO. But I could see Ortiz winning by KO if he fights aggressively.

This is an interesting one since people think AJ was never protected like Wilder.
Wilder actually fought Ortiz but AJ was protected from that fight and Dave Allen was led to the slaughter instead.
Ortiz was still old at that point and Wilder only fought a slightly older version.
AJ could definitely win that fight but it was risky and Ortiz had a good chance of landing a big counter and KO'ing him.
    Hearn knew that.

AJ has some good wins, a solid career and operated at a far higher level. Just because he lost a fight it doesn't negate his entire career. He is a heavy favourite here - I think there's been a lot of overly negative reaction to Joshua since this loss which is way over the top.

Can't see past an AJ win. Ortiz has some decent skills but lapses in concentration have cost him several times.
Joshua is skilled enough to box with him and hits hard enough to keep him honest.
Aj is probably a better mover and even though his gas tank his a bit of a weakness it's better than Ortiz'
