Joshua was more hurt than tired. Let's not forget he dropped a 268 lbs man like a sack of potatoes, with one punch. Ruiz's arm was folded behind his back. AJ got careless and paid the price. Let's not judge fighters from their worst performances. You wouldn't do that with Marciano.
A good shorter swarmer, with endurance is a nightmare for the big heavies. Unless they use their attributes wisley they can get in trouble quickly. Wlad was the best at this, clinch, lean, hold on the inside. The trick for smaller heavies is to control the distance and be great infighters. Joshua was not experienced enough for this style. That said, size is an advantage for sure. But, It can be used against them in some cases.
Lol these Marciano fans are the worse and most clueless boxing fans. I wouldn't even call them boxing fans. Anthony Joshua is a joke compared to modern skilled heavyweights. Rocky Marciano isn't a heavyweight. He was a 180 pound cruiser weight. AJ would still knock him out in 1 round.
This. Joshua’s defense and pacing isn’t good enough yet for him to have been a threat to Marciano. Joshua throws his hooks way too wide. Joshua was begging to get to get clipped and he did. Throwing a super wide left hook would be begging for a flush right hand from Marciano.
Let's not pretend that Ruiz is some sort of physical monster either. He is 6' 1'' with a 74'' reach, and only weighs 270lbs, because he is in a condition that no world class heavyweight should ever come into the ring in! He is basically a small heavyweight.
WHat modern skilled heavyweights are you referring to? I am fascinated to see this list. Joshua well represented a modern skilled heavyweight. Always professional. Always in shape. He had fast hands, pin point accuracy and stunning explosiveness.
I have a few questions What type of freak has 4 arms? (Other than Simease Twins) Is Marciano's chin really that good? I can't see him recovering from that right hand Klitschko landed on AJ. And I can't see AJ getting hurt by Moore or dropped by Walcott
