No Spinks wasn`t very good at landing without getting hit at heavyweight, AJ`s reach would bother him.

I think he can pull it off.

Lots of mediocre defenses from that list that leave lots of openings. Not too many road warriors either and I have lots of doubts about that group showing up with their A game in front of 80000 cheering for the other guy.

Some of them were on the wrong side of the mountain and facing youth and a destroyer does not lend itself to victories often.

AJ loses by KO in round 1 in all of them :)

I don't know enough about Mitch Green.

James Tillis could go either way depending on which Tillis shows up, I'll go UD Joshua.

    Joshua beats Tilman late KO.

Don't know enough about Alex Stewart.

Razor Ruddock wins the decision or he gets a late KO.

Depends on which Douglas shows up but prime Douglas gets the mid round KO.

    Carl Williams wins decision.

Goes either way with Bruno, Bruno Kayoes Joshua in mid rounds.

Marvis Frazier is kayoed in the late middle rounds.

Trevor Berbick wins by mid round KO.

    Bonecrusher Smith wins by UD.

Tucker goes either way, I'll go late stoppage in favour of Tucker.

Mid round KO for Joshua vs Biggs.

    38 yo Holmes loses decision.

Goes either way I'll give Joshua the early KO vs Tubbs.

Michael Spinks wins decision but he could be caught late on.

Anthony Joshua 6(4)-8(4)-0 and 2 NC.

Smith travelled better than Tillis and Williams v Bruno and more Brit fans were watching Smith v Bruno on TV back then because there was no PPV and only four channels in Britain which were free to watch, Bugner v Bruno in `87 attracted 12 million viewers making Bruno`s fights a bigger even than AJ`s are now.

That seems like one of those fights that AJ wins, but he has some close calls.

You don't think too highly of AJ, do you?

Hahaha nail on the head. To be honest I think he has too many flaws and I partly measure a boxers ability by flaws vs quality attributes. He has a dodgy chin, which is massive in the heavy division unless you have a rock solid defence which he doesn't. He was protected a lot by the refs in his UK fights i.e vs Parker the ref broke it up anytime he got on the inside and this was without even holding, the ref just broke it up, his first fight in the US where refs don't give a **** who he is and he's sparked out by an intelligent fighter who can bang and take a bang. Part of Joshua's poor defence is decision making when to hold when to jab when to skate, his size is his best defence. He has an awful telegraphed jab, although it looked good against Ruiz in their 2nd fight, but how much of that was Ruiz being awful. He has a good hook but not dynamite and good stamina for a muscle man. His movement is ok and his heart is questionable after Ruiz 1. Once he felt Ruiz's power he didn't want to be there. Plus he has a good resume compared to Fury and Wilder, although Povetkin and Wlad were old they were still great scalps. Parker and Ruiz 2 good wins. He can still learn though brush up on his defence without refs help and I'd rate him a lot higher, cause he Will never be a brawler.

Hard to argue Klitchsko and Povetkin weren't world class, but Ruiz and Parker were

Name me one of those fighters on that resume that has a better jab than AJ? Maybe Douglas but he overcommitted with his jab bringing his head forwards so Mike caught him with that uppercut, something AJ does not do while jabbing, his head nevder goes past his lead knee while jabbing, there is still a huge gap from where his head is to where the opponents gloves are and how is his jab telegraphed? His elbow doesn`t flair out while jabbing thre`s no 'tell' and his jab is quick as ****.

Indeed. But, they were both “old men” and not ‘world class fighters in their prime’.
