Anthony Joshua vs the great Joe Louis

I’m going with the “ Great “ Joe Louis. But ONLY the great one.

Louis and itś ugly, Joshua is crushed like a bug.

 

Joe Louis does what he does to everyone.

 

AJ would have no answer to Louis blistering combinations and power in both hands, Josh would try and jab his way to victory and stay on the outside but Joe eventually closes the distance and takes him out

 

Joshua being bigger just means a bigger target for Louis' combos.

 

The only reason Joshua would have a chance is because of his
great height, reach and weight advantages , also Joshua is
stronger physically .(Juice?) anyone who believes Joshua
wouldn't have a chance, isn't living in reality. (My opinion)
Other than that, skills, instinct, and intuition all belong to
to Louis, and it's not close.
Joshua quit in the ring. Against a fighter no where near
as skilled as prime Joe Louis. It was a bad look.
a very ugly look to be honest. Because he didn't
look battered, in a fight he seemed to be winning
other than that hiccup when he got dropped.

Could or would Joshua, getting beaten to the
punch repeatedly, or countered consistently
have the heart to fight through that, to land
something substantial on Louis?
Based on what he's shown I'd say no.
The 1st few hard counters he'd get would
make him fight reluctantly. He'd start
thinking instead of reacting.
Giving Louis the room to exploit him
further.
Unless Louis walks into something .
(As Louis was prone to do)
I believe he'd eventually make Joshua
quit, or stop him cold.

 

You have to consider 2 factors if AJ was in Joe era he would still have the height and reach but definitely not the size. This also works the other way Louis would also been alot bigger if he was in this era, but still have the same fundamentals and power. Watch Joe Louis against bigger fighters he absolutely annihilates them always while Aj struggles with smaller fighters crafty fighters.

 

I will go with the best version of Joe Louis over the best version of Anthony Joshua, by knockout, and I think Joe would accomplish that early in the fight.

 

The clue is in the title, AJ fighting a GREAT fighter.
What ever advantages Joshua holds over Joe, it ain't gonna make a difference.

And gets crushed all the same. If Fat boy Ruiz can do it Louis would eat Joshua for breakfast.

 

Louis would beat the stuffing out of him.
