Date already set when they dont evenknow if fury will be licensed to box yet. But use of crack and steroids aside, keep Furys mentality in mind

They are also assuming Joshua will remain undefeated until then, which is also questionable

    this "announcement " is laughable

Joshua is made for Fury, if Fury is in shape, he will outbox Joshua.................Vlad was out boxing Joshua until he got careless....................Klitschko/Joshua is a 50/50 fight.......................Joshua, Vlad, Fury all will knock Wilder out, but Wilder runs his mouth, he will never fight any of them..........

    1. Tyson Fury is a no-show at a Wlad presser because he is stuck in traffic and can't notify anyone due to his cell phone battery being drained.
    2. Tyson Fury tells Ustinov during the weigh-in that he's going to "hurt him bad" and then proceeds to bottle it a mere few hours later.
    3. Tyson Fury declares that he's fighting on 13 May.
    4. Tyson Fury says that he's fighting on the BJS undercard in July.
    5. Tyson Fury then says that he's going to fight in October, yet his UKAD hearing will not occur until then at the earliest.
    6. Hughie Fury is going to NZ for that WBO belt and, predictably, bottles it.

There's much more, but I'll stop. And we're expected to believe that Wembley has been booked for him in April 2018? I'd love for someone to convince me that anything coming out of a Fury's mouth can be believed without corroboration from two or more independent sources.

I did not think it through to realize that this came from Tyson Fury himself.

    you're shooting the messengers
'world titles' aren't coveted in boxing like they are in other sports because there are half a dozen of them per weight division
the problem isn't the fighters, it's the federations

Hearn and Joshua have made it quite clear they don't care about the belts. They'll happily drop them to make the fights they and the fans want, it's all about giving the fans good fights and of course the money that comes with that.

As for this supposed announcement. Even if it's true it's so far ahead in the future and there are so many obstacles from both sides it's hard to take it seriously.

Whether it's April 2018, I don't know, but this fight will happen. There's too much money at stake for it not to. And as we all know, the biggest motivator in boxing is money. Hearn - a tremendous promoter, by the way - is an egotist. Putting on the biggest global fights panders to this. Hearn loves money, and loves making more. Any hitches to this fight being made will be dealt with, including UKADA. Fury being out of the ring for longer than anticipated also favours Hearn's fighter. It couldn't be working out better for Matchroom if it had been planned like this...

    Hearn always provisionally books wembley.

He did it last year for a possible Brook v Khan fight.

Yeah for Hearn it is a great set up for his fighter. Fury is in turmoil with UKAD, BBBoC, his weight, mental health issues and inactivity. Wouldn't shock me if Hearn tries to make the fight ASAP, perhaps not even give Fury a warm up fight if he can get away with it. Basically anything to stack the odds in Joshua's favour. But you can't blame him he's just looking out for himself and his fighter.

The difference here is Fury and Wlad are both much better fights than Ortiz.

The best fight for Canelo was Golovkin. The best fight for Wilder was Povetkin. The best fight for Joshua is Wlad.

To be consistent you just always insist on the best fighting the best, every time.

100%. As much as I cringe sometimes at his 'fast car' image, he's the world's best promoter at the minute, partly because he often stacks the odds but also because sometimes he's prepared to take risks - ludicrous as it appears now, the Charles Martin fight was an opportunistic and calculated gamble, and more so the Wlad match. GG vs Canelo would have happened long ago if Hearn had been managing Alvarez, I suspect.

Agreed he's bringing the fights the fans want. Haters keep saying he's going to protect his fighter but he keeps proving them wrong. He's willing to take these calculated risks and make these big jumps up in level for his fighters knowing the down side is minimal. When GGG/Brook was announced it was a no risk fight really for Brook, even a loss wouldn't mean much as Brook was expected to get destroyed and when he actually put up a good fight it actually grew his fan base and he came out of that fight better off as a fighter.

Floyd Mayweather employed the same concept, not necessarily as extreme as the above, but the tactic of simply "GAINING ANY ADVANTAGE POSSIBLE". in and out of the ring, Just like fury has a game plan to drag AJ into late rounds and wait for him to gas, Hearn's tactic is to drag fury into the ring asap before he can build up any momentum from any tune up fights. This is thinking of the bigger picture, trying to stay steps ahead of your opposition at all times, This is the art of war its self. This weather you like it or not is extremely smart.

This is also why you have to be 100% Dedicated and live the life in and out of training camp, This is the reason floyd was working while his opponent was sleeping.
