Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko 2 Rematch Confirmed Happening

Won't rule Wladimir out. should be a great fight. War Klitschko. Also seem to remember Joshua had a hard time getting up from his knock down. I am going to place some money on this one.

 

@GALVATRON - I am deliriously happy the rematch is signed and after the herculean effort put forth by Wlad in the 1st fight* I am tempted again to bet Klitschko this time around. I realise Joshua will have improved again from the experience of the first fight but considering how close Wlad came to the upset combined with the ring rust/inactivity factor no longer a concern, do you see Klitschko as good value at 7/2 or thereabouts (the odds aren't up yet but I expect the price on Wlad to be around that)? I won't make a bet until I see a breakdown/prediction from the heavyweight boxing sage since you saved me oodles of ££££ by talking me out of betting the first match. Look into your crystal ball and tell me what you see.


*Which you alone predicted accurately, everyone else who picked Joshua expected a blowout whereas you foretold we would see the best Wladimir and that the fight would be competitive, which it certainly was!

 

Regardless Wlad got annihilated, he was completely destroyed in the 11th.

 

So what ? AJ won the first 5 rounds and dropped Wladimir Klitschko 3 times, he struggled but he passed the test. Anthony Joshua's flaws were visible but nobody was ever perfect, Wladimir has a lot of flaws as well and i think
it's likely that he will get dropped again if the rematch happens.

His defence is simply not good enough against a fighter like Anthony Joshua and he has almost no counterpunching ability unlike Anthony Joshua.

Wladimir Klitschko was easily overpowered by Anthony Joshua in the 5th and the 11th round and he didn't know
what to do.

 

Joshua carries a lot of muscle. muscle needs oxygen and lots of it. that contributes to his having trouble after being hit and at times he was there for the taking. others say otherwise. however, he was fighting an older Klitschko after a long lay off and Wladimir still almost got him out of there. the rust will not be an issue next time. Wladimir is a smart guy. his improving from the first fight..Imho...will be greater than Joshua's. I trhink Joshua, although young, has a lower ceiling for improvement than many think. We may have seen the best he is going to be. His strength may also be his weakness.

 

You Wlad groupies are adorable too. I would bet my balls on AJ in the rematch.

I have never stated that it was a walk in the park for Anthony Joshua, he won a competitive fight.

Wladimir Klitschko did really good in the 5th round after the knockdown but he couldn't avoid the Anthony Joshua onslaught, he panicked.

 

I was only talking about the 5th round and fact is that he panicked after he got hit by Anthony Joshua and he didn't know what to do, he didn't throw any counterpunches and he was overwhelmed easily by Anthony Joshua.
