Several fighters will be kicking themselves that they did not WAR with AJ

Clearly he is vulnerable if you have the daring.....

I will say that Joshua's run of Martin-Povetkin is mighty impressive. Better than anything any current HW has done, and not close, with the exception of Ruiz TKO'ing him, of course.

Takam took that fight on a 12 days’ notice. Povetkin was quite successful in the first rounds giving Joshua lots of problems.

If you want to say Fury is overrated, that's one thing. But that he's a KO waiting to happen? After he got up in the Wilder fight? That doesn't make sense to me.

It's still possible his chin isn't the greatest, and that what happened with Wilder was a one-off type thing, but the facts suggest his chin is good.

More than problems. 39 year old Povektin was smashing him up and winning until the KO.

rocked bt featherfist Firtha. heavily knocked down by featherfists Cunningham and Pajkic. he is definitely a china chin awaiting a ko. then factor in his putrid resume.

Maybe we're gonna find the "Big 3" are NOT the Big 3 of this era after all...

I'm not writing AJ off just yet. And (no) I wasn't an AJ fan.

Rather I've seen quite a few fighters earn the 'chinny' award after a kd.
When a young DLH got dropped, critics and anti-DLH'ers proclaimed he had a glass jaw. He got stopped once; his last fight.

The 1st few times Tito got dropped it seemed he might be chinny, but for some reason he fought harder after being dropped or as Lennox pointed out about Trinidad "some fighters actually come alive after getting decked.

As for AJ, he's no Tito, but he didn't get dropped by pillow punchers & since conventional wisdom states the last thing a fighter loses is their power--negates the argument for me that he was done because older guys dropped him. Foreman kept his power all the way up to 45.

Calzaghe was dropped by Mitchell & Bhop, RJJ with small shots that made it seem he didnt have a chin. He retired undefeated.

Lastly, I still hold to the fact that Ruiz dropped AJ with shots to the head, side of the head, behind the ears. Equilibrium shots.

It's simply a matter of time. He has no boxing skills, a suspect chin, has been hurt numerous times and leaves himself wide open. He relies strictly on his power, which he has plenty of, but that alone will not stop the inevitable from happening. It will be interesting to see the responses from the Wilder fans when that time comes. There were many Wilder fans thrilled to see Joshua destroyed and were not shy about expressing it, I wonder if they will enjoy what they were so happy to dish out.

I say again - maybe we're gonna find the "Big 3" are NOT the Big 3 of this era after all...

    A provocative thought....

I sense then when it happens to Wilder (and it will), it will be a Paul Williams type KO

Some of them would probably quite like ten lashings if it was AJ with the whip....

He didn’t look comfortable against Povetkin.

Or because he has no wins of any note at all and even lost a few rounds to Kingpin recently!
