I didn't say he would blow him away and it's not fair anyway to compare Anthony Joshua with only 19 fights to
a prime Lennox Lewis.

 

JOshua remains entirely unproven at elite level, and probably for a good reason - he may not be it.


proof is not beating up a 41 year old or knocking out a eurolevel after getting hurt by them. However it is a step in the right direction for a contender, for example, a way to prove themselves world class.

but matching him with an elite like lewis is nonsense.

 

Vitali is 6'7, and had one of the greatest chin's in the sport along with being one of the most awkward fighters in the HW division, by throwing punches at various unorthodox angles while simultaneously using lateral movement to weave in and out through a frontal movement.

So don't ever suggest that robotic stiff job that is Joshua, could ever put up a similar fight with Lewis.

Did you see Breazeales last fight? Yes he won but was lucky he wasn't knocked out quicker and Whyte was hurt repeatedly by the non punching, shot Chisora and was very lucky to get a decision and now won't give Chisora rematch and a earn very decent payday because he knows he'll struggle again. That's how average Whyte really is.

AJ's best wins, a 41 year old who hadn't fought for a year and coming off a defeat, Whyte and Breazeale.

I am a fan of AJ, I've made that very clear on here numerous times and even said in that post "I believe AJ will get better and better".

The difference between me and you is I'm honest, I'm not blinkered and I won't just blindly support a fighter and refuse to hear anything remotely negative about him.

By pointing out AJ has flaws, by pointing out that AJ isn't the finished product and by basically saying Lennox in his prime would have given this version (right now) of AJ serious problems and probably a beating is just being honest.
