Yes, they can become contenders on very little these days. But I think that's often been the case, not just this era.

He was giving away a whoping 19lb. Neinteen pounds. That's the difference in weight from featherweight to welterweight. Don Curry v Barry Mcguigan. Is that a fair fight?

Fury outboxed Wladimir easily. It was ugly and dull but he had Wladimir looking flummoxed throughout, and desperate in the later rounds.

Joshua actually made the old man look good. Some fans even suggested it was the best Wladimir ever. LOL

So the weigh in was rigged?
How about the Parker fight where he scaled241.25lbs?
The Povetkin fight where he weighed 252lbs?
    Both rigged?:duh

Elsewhere you're arguing Frazier can beat Lennox.
    I'm not saying he can't.
    I don't think Takam's weight was a disadvantage. He's strong as hell.

His height is clearly a disadvantage though. I think a good tall fighter like Fury or Lewis would barely get hit against him. I saw Joshua taking punches, although the way others have discussed it, maybe I imagined it?

    Eighteen and a half actually.

Deontay Wilder scaled 226.5lbs for his last fight, 9.25lbs less than Takam did for Joshua,if Wilder comes in at the same weight when he fights Joshua and Joshua is the same as he weighed for Takam ie 254lbs Wilder will be conceding 30lbs.Will that be fair fight?

What are you talking about ?
A few pages back you mocked choklab for saying Takam was giving away 30 pounds.
You pointed out it was 18 pounds or so.

Now you're saying it was 6 pounds.

This place is crazy, sometimes. Or am I going mad ?

I made a mistake, since amended .Just Like Choklab did when he said.
    1.Takam was 37
2.He had only two weeks notice
    3.He was 30lbs lighter
Difference being I am not still repeating 1.and 2.

    I will watch them both.
Joshua is more exciting, Fury the better boxer.

Fury was less boring when he wasn't as good a boxer.

His earlier fights where he was getting caught and knocked down were more entertaining. When he was brawling and trading with shorter men. He was more entertaining then but not world level.
When he tightened his game and boxed smart he inevitably became rather dull.
