I do have a concern about Joshua.

He is losing his hand speed.

Look at the Sprott fight for example.

Too much pumping iron I think!

It could be he's getting better fighters now,it is only the very special fighters that make the leap of looking as good and as fast against better men. Takam, regardless of rating, actually was about as good as anyone else is right now.

But I have the same concerns about body building and why Josh feels he needs to be getting bigger all the time. Left to his own devices Josh would be quite a slim guy. He is quite narrow at the hips. He's all built up like Holyfeild was.

I'm telling you only one man has stopped Takam ,and that is Povetkin and it took him until the 10th rd to do it.
No one else had done it and certainly not early! If you are comparing Joshua to the three you named, then imo, he isn't in their class at the moment, and may never be.
As to whether Takam would take those three into deep waters. Why not?

    Tyson
    James Smith 12rds
    James Tillis 10rds
    Jose Ribalta10rds
    Mitch Green 10rds
    Bowe
    Andrew Golota 7rds
    Larry Donald 12rds
    Lewis
    Zelko Mavrovic 12rds
    Phil Jackson 8rds

Takam 's durability compares favourably with theirs.
    Not winning fights?
Takam has lost 4 fights out of 40, 3 to world class fighters Povetkin,Parker,Joshua, and the other 8 years ago.

He's only fought 4 world class men though hasn't he? It's not really a good ratio at that level is it?

He was a respectable alternative and the number 3 mandatory when Pulev pulled out .
I'm taking issue with the statement that Joshua should have blown him away early. Why ? Nobody else has!
NB How many world class fighters have:
    Wilder
    Parker
    Fury
    Ortiz
    Pulev

    Fought?

Joshua has fought 2 world class opponents, 1 if you don't rate Takam.
2 or 3 if you want to rate Whyte.

    Probably the same for Wilder.

    Fury probably 2 or 3.

This is my whole issue with this era of Heavyweights. Why on earth, (how on earth) can anybody seriously make comparisons with great fighters on the strength of each current top man fighting barely two name guys each? It's laughable.

I never thought Joshua would or should blow Takam away early. King Kong never exists once the level of opponents improves. The sooner people work this out the better.

I do feel Joshua had an unfair amount of advantages over Takam though. He was giving away height, reach, age, weight, home advantage and notice.

I don't know. I'm confused by the whole Joshua conversation.

I see Joshua as a good puncher with good punch variety, proven heart and determination but not much of a "boxer".
I swear he was getting hit too much against Takam for a man of his size.
    Silly punches.
I thought the Wladimir fight was a good measure of where Joshua is at. That's his best win.

I'll sit back and watch his career unfold.
Try to see the all-time great technical skills before it's a missed opportunity.

Sooner or later the top heavyweights will have to face each other.

Going into the Wlad fight I don't think Fury had beaten a top ten ranked heavyweight.
Wilder has beaten Stiverne none of the others were ranked.

    Depends how you rank them.
Anyway, there's nothing much in it.

Oh for F*ck's sake,he was giving away 18.5lbs, and 2 inches in reach, and yes he was fighting in the champion's country , most challengers do! Where should the fight have been held? In the Cameroons? Do you think 78,000 people would have paid to get in there? Takam has been in training on standby for 12 weeks can you actually grasp that? He was over 6lbs lighter than he was for the Parker fight 17months ago ! How many times did Tyson ,Frazier,Marciano have height ,reach, weight advantages?

    You do spout some nonsense!

This is my point. Each guy gets a rating barely beating a top ten guy.

At least Fury was a 12 round fighter though. Perhaps The British title experience gave him an edge over all the other Giants challenging Klitschko?

I think Takam was giving away a lot more than that in weight, not that it matters.
His height deficit was considerable, I think. He looked 5 or 6 inches shorter.

Joshua isn't a 12 rds fighter? You know this because ? Joshua is going in there to ko people, Fury scampered around the ring pitty patting.Joshua hasn't gone 12 rds because no one has lasted that long with him! How is that a negative?
