Airich didn't really offer much, but Joshua showed a good jab and again excellent power. The jab backed Airich up a couple of times and the straight right hand that rocked Airich before the knockdown didn't seem to have much of the hip in it. I think the test for Joshua comes in his stamina - can he carry that body mass into the mid/later rounds and not gas?
I thought he looked good...glad he took his time, as I think he coulda finished him in 1 or 2 if he wanted. Only thing, I'm not really sure what it was, he looked lazy after throwing the right hand. He didn't get back into a position to defend himself properly - could leave him open to counters. Other than that, it's hard to see how he can't go all the way. He's surprisingly athletic and quick for such a big guy, and seems to be packing some serious power.
No way Joshua has 12 round stamina..I don't think he ever will with that build...Needs to take lessons from the Klitscko book of boxing.
hes looking good versus limited competition. but hes better skilled than wilder though, a lot more technical
How did he look? He looked stiff, but powerful... Not doing anything to shed the comparisons to Frank Bruno. I think he'll become a contender, maybe even a titlist but I don't see him ruling the division at any point.
:good Good post, but you gotta like his LOC thus far, and how he's fought each according to their styles. His stamina could play a role like a couple say, but he's not overly offensive, and he has great punch selection and is patient. Took a few good punches too..... I agree that he'll probably win a title, and maybe even be a fixture in the next era, but he's gonna have to improve some with each fight if he's gonna go on to be a dominant champ like Wlad/Vitali/Lewis/Tyson:think
