Do you see any flaws in him at this early stage ? A lot of people got carried away with price but I couldn't see what the fuss was apart from size and power.he looked like he was pissed the way he moved, his footwork was poor and his chin was always suspect. Joshua looks heavy handed, fast hands, compact, skilled and ticks all the boxes so far albeit his level of opposition hasn't stepped up yet,IMO he ko's fury and chisora now and is definitely the biggest prospect on the horizon at the minute, what's your thoughts ?
If I had to be HYPER critical his defence looks a bit shakey and has a tendency to move back in straight lines! (I'm not saying always just sometimes before I get jumped on) He probably has the tools already to beat both probably just need some sharpening before they let him at them IMO
I actually saw more in Price (because of pure raw power) as in AJ who looks stiff at times, but clearly has power too. But with Price's weak stamina and punch resistance Joshi will very probably do much better. Joshua has a good chance of taking a legit titlebelt and defending it a couple of times, cause who else is there?
I can't for the life of me see why ppl compared Price to Joshua. Joshua has way more talent than Price could ever dream of having.
he is better then wilder even now that's for sure and has a much better chin.............but still to early ask me in a year or 2
I have seen every one of his fights and I genuinely believe he is the real deal. Early on there were faults which there are going to be and there probably is still the odd fault but he has improved so much from his first fight against Emanuele Leo to his most recent against Konstantin Airich. He has a great jab, very good power, good movement but one possible problem I find is maybe the defence but they may be down to the lack of power his opponents have. He seems happy to take a punch, in that he doesn't panic if he does take one which reassures me about his chin and he picks his punches very well and doesn't throw any wild punches.
I wouldn't bet against him against anyone apart from wk at the minute, not saying he would definitely beat them all but he'd have a good chance, povetkin and haye maybe the exceptions, let's hope he fulfills his potential
Very good prospect but gets hit too easy. Vlad would jab Joshua's head off for 12 rounds at this stage.
Price really never looked that good. He was always very robotic and stiff, all power, little talent. Joshua is another story. He's one talented kid.
If anyone has questions about Joshua's chin watch his amateur fights against magomed medzhidov, Roberto Cammarele etc. I think his chin is decent.
I think if he looks easy to hit at this point it's because he is confident of his chin which would suggest he doesn't have anything to worry about chin wise.i'm sure when he steps up he will be more cautious of getting hit hence his defence will improve
