its guesswork and speculation bordering on slander. Hed probably be 140 kgs if he cut out all the cardio, what we are seeing is a very fit large man who probably has the best strength and conditioning coach money can buy as well as the extreme motivation to be numero uno
One absolute idiot that did the YouTube stuff was Cali Muscle. The dumbass claimed to have put on that size with just ramen noodle dishes containing high fat and calorie ingredients that are about as detrimental to your health as raw dogging That reporter Pulev kissed.
High level of muscle mass in conjunction with very low level of subcutaneous body fat. Neither of those things in isolation is suspicious. Put them together, however, and questions get asked.
People have to understand that the body does not want a lot of muscle if you are requiring long term endurance for an activity, it will burn off muscle to get rid of excess weight. So let's look at Wladimir, Mike Tyson and Joshua , their physiques are defying a natural body process and they carry power until the late rounds and have good stamina to go through 12 rounds. You can understand where I am going with this. A normal healthy heavyweight with endurance to go 12 rounds and to be able to knock someone out during the 12th round should have minimal muscle and some fat. What I'm trying to say is that it's completely normal to have a physique like Joshua, Mike Tyson and Wladimir if you are planning to fight for 5 rounds max at normal boxing intensity in the past 10 years but to be able to go through 36 minutes of fighting in one go and able to not tip over means you are most likely getting help from somewhere. You can have all the food you want but the body will adapt and make it easier to perform which means you should not be packing muscle at the level they perform at, it just doesn't exist.
Why would Joshua be 140kg without cardio? He's naturally a lean guy. He'd likely lose muscle if he stopped training.
That's more or less who I had in mind when I wrote that. Him and guys like Simeon Panda. Unfortunately people are so deluded these days that they have no idea when someone is feeding them a line. It's distorted their thinking.
It’s not lost on me that fat gains go hand in hand with muscle gains, but even your gym enthusiast can keep the fat gains down to a minimum with strict dieting. This is without taking into account genetics, or that the fat gains can be removed with cutting, after the fact. Yes, Joshua is muscular, but honestly, he’s not that big In the grander scheme of things. Take pretty much any toned person that’s pumped and they’ll look big through a lens. There’s plenty of footage of Joshua in a casual t-shirt, where he looks like a tall guy that looks after himself. Look at the footage when he’s in Mayweather’s gym. This content is protected
Joshua isn't a bodybuilder though, so there's no point in him bulking up then "cutting" for aesthetic reasons (which would only make him lose water weight anyway). Genuine fat loss would have to be accompanied by muscle loss as well, which again would defeat the object of gaining muscle mass in the first place. There's no (natural) way around it.
You seem to have some knowledge of bodybuilding, so surely you’re aware that it’s not 50/50 when it comes to gains and loss. Also, we’re not talking about a dry cut. Also, let’s keep in mind that Joshua has been at a maintenance level for awhile now. I’m not saying that he isn’t on PEDS, but his size, physique, and weight gain is not proof that’s he is. We’re not taking into account what Joshua does in between camps, or the fact that his jump in size has actually taken several years.
You overestimate the effects of PEDs. Boxers are not taking insane doses anyway. Even in steroid cycles for bodybuilders it's a very slow buildup after the first cycle. Many people confuse muscle fullness from increased swelling, water and glycogen as muscle gains. The real gains are lean dry tissue that you build up, and it takes a very long time even on typical bodybuilding cycles. The steroids don't take away the hard work. The key is steroids decrease recovery time allowing you work even harder. Sometimes we athletes want to work hard but our body doesn't listen. This is called overtraining. PEDs allow athletes to keep training hard at a high intensity. I find it funny when people say it's all hard work to claim someone is natural when the key point of PEDs is allowing you to work harder and longer lol.
Probably be hard to find an example of a heavyweight boxer prior to that time frame who does similar weight training as Joshua.
I’m not overestimating them. I would say it’s the opposite; I’m downplaying them, in that I don’t believe Joshua’s physique has to be as a direct result of PEDS.
Some people have better genetics when it comes to having a low fat physique, paired with muscle mass. I was one of those people. I've never used a P.E.D. in my life. I had team mates stronger than me, whose physiques were fairly mediocre. So yeah, genetics do have something to do with it. People on a web forum shouldn't assume everyone is a laymen either. I don't disagree that many people use P.E.D.s. I do disagree when people assume someone with an impressive physique is on P.E.D.s with no proof. An impressive physique is possible without P.E.D.s, as is a 4.3 40, a 40inch vertical, and good handspeed. To sit there and act like some people aren't more athletic then others naturally, is ridiculous.
Joshua definitely uses hgh and likely slin, which is likely responsible for his full look. Some people react very well to PEDs. Joshua is an example of someone with top genetics in addition to PEDs. All of the top bodybuilders and physique dudes you see on the internet are examples of top genetics plus PEDs. Good diet and training is expected.
When did I say genetics don't play a role lol? I'm pointing out the fact out how it's trend for people like you to say how it's just "black genetics" whenever a black person is accused of PED use as if black people never use steroids and just look like that naturally. I've seen plenty of these naturally muscular people, but they will never compare to roided up people who also have good genetics. There's a certain look you can only achieve while on high doses of gear, and not when you're natural. Has it ever occurred to you that people with top genetics can also use roids?
