It's clearly not good. It still baffles me that he took that right hand from Wlad and got up. But he was in a good position to absorb that shot unlike when Ruiz and Dubois caught him and his form was all over the place. I think is defence is worse than his chin if I am honest. Next to no head movement, he used to have a decent enough high guard but seemed to be completely gone against Dubois. That right hand that dropped him in the 1st round against DDD is a prime example of poor defence, hands down, by the ropes, chin in the air, totally misjudged distance and thought he was safe or at least I guess that's what he thought why else would you stand there with your hands down with your opponent squared up right in front of you.
Joshua sort of reminds me of Izu Ugonoh, the loss to Ruiz was like that polish boxers loss to Breazeale. Literally spent the first 2 rounds beating the crap out of the fighter, only for the guy to just keep coming back and walking through his best blows. They tried to change him into a boxer, but he isn't. Just a weightlifter with a big punch. And even that's debatable anymore because of his loss of speed from bodybuilding.
AJ is a Glass Jawed Fighter. Always has been always will be regardless of what his fanboys say or think
Two types of chins, Ortiz is much easier to knock down then out. Ortiz has never been stopped besides by Wilder.
Fury is the guy who compares worst to AJs resume because of the Wallin and Ngannou fights. Parker beating Wilder easily also boosted Joshua in this comparison. Because of the Parker v Wilder fight Parker really is Joshuas only feat thats aged well in this current era. But Furys got none of those now. Chisoras rehabilitation came at the expense of making Furys 2nd beaten opponent(Wallin) look terrible. And that hurts AJ too but not relative to Fury it doesn't.
Fury did far better against a much better version of ATG Klitschko. Fury did better in both fights against ATG Usyk. But you think Joshua doing better in some sideshow fight and a stay busy fight is more important. You don't sound like a serious follower of the sport.
His chin is not very good but he did take a huge barrage from Usyk without being hurt the way Fury was from one punch. Also took a nuclear bomb from Wlad, which is very surprising.
I've criticized them all and think AJ fans talking about how much better his resume is were delusional. But the last 2 years has really made AJs resume look good next to Furys specifically. Fury also has a big responsibility for AJ and Wilders resumes sucking as much as they do because he made them wait around years while he relived the John L Sullivan experience. No one really comes ahead with the Wlad and Usyk comparisons for me. Yeah Fury came closest to beating Usyk, he also got knocked down by a point fighter while AJ despite his glass chin did not. You know exactly why the Wallin and Ngannou comparisons make AJ look better. AJs best win from his era beating Furys best win from this era quite easily also mattered.
I don't care who comes ahead in Vlad & Usyk comparisons "for you". Fury easily beat a far better version of Klitschko in Germany when he was champ. Your interpretation of these facts is not my concern. Usyk said Fury was his toughest opponent, everyone who isn't biased could see the same. Choosing to make your entire resume comparison about a circus fight with an MMA fighter and **** ass Wallin instead of two ATG's means you can't be taken seriously.
He's fought a lot of punchers amateur and pro and even in his lone KO loss (as in knocked out or failed to beat the count) his chin withstood many flush shots from a massive puncher before he eventually succumbed to their power Listen to who Ajagba names here for chin in his Build a Boxer feature This content is protected
