AJ seems to have a reputation of being a great inside fighter. I once saw him mentioned amongst Josh Taylor and Errol Spence as being one of the best inside fighters today. I think this is pretty strange because from what I've seen of him, Joshua very rarely fights on the Inside.

To me, Fury looks like he has the much better inside game. He fights on the inside more consistently than Joshua.

Can anyone give me an example of a fight where AJ shows his inside fighting ability???

People think that landing uppercuts = great inside fighting. Joshua is a mid-range fighter. He isn't fast or skilled enough to stay on the outside for the duration of a fight (if you feel the need to bring up the great victory over 283lb Ruiz, go ahead).

He's certainly not hopeless on the inside, he just isn't fighting there very often. Comparing him to a fighter like Taylor in terms of inside fighting prowess is absurd.

Fury's inside game is remarkably advanced given the style he's shown in big fights. It reminds me of when Mayweather showcased his inside ability against Castillo.

Exactly, his style is one that you would think he can fight on the inside, but when you look at the fights, he doesn’t, it is a Mandela effect, he is great offensively when he has opponents hurt and he throws good combinations and people seem to just assume he is good on the inside too

Inside fighting is an artform in its own right.

AJ doesn't know where to place his head on the inside, Fury does
AJ doesn't know where to put his chest up close, Fury does
AJ doesn't know have great footwork up close
    He doesn't clinch amazingly well

    He fights at 1 height.

Inside fighting is all peripharal vision and feeling your opponent. AJ doesn't do it. He just engages the clinch or pulls out. Not sure what he is going to do if he trys to engage a clinch and Fury breaks away or forces himself up close on him. Probably high guard and let Fury work him.

He is extremely strong though which is why Wlad couldn't clinch him. Fury is different though he is a gorilla up close.

What worries me about AJ is he was clearly hesitant and worried about his chin when Pulev & Ruiz got close to him. Ruiz has mentally chipped him.

Watch Fury bullying Wilder in close after he dropped in round 10 in their first fight...& the final round despite being gassed. instinctually knows where to be.

You're joking right ? Fury and Joshua have 2 shared opponents, Kevin Johnson and old Wladimir Klitschko. Guess who fought Johnson on the inside and beat him. Joshua. Guess who fough Klitschko on the inisde and beat him. Joshua.

    Im done with this forum.

Wlad never fights inside. Why he struggled with AJ and fury, two big men who he couldn't manhandle in close.

Fury was getting bested on the inside after Wlad stopped giving him so much respect in round 12. And I'll tell you, while Wlad isnt a good inside fighter hes better than Wilder.

Funny thing is it wasn't wlad who "stopped giving him respect" in round 12

IT WAS FURY! Fury walked at him for the first time in the fight because he was looking for a stoppage, he threw 12 punches at the start of that round before Wlad even threw 1!

Then Wlad tried to make the claim you just made in the build-up for the rematch and Fury laughed at him and said that round only went that way because he chose it to go that way. . Fury controlled every round of that fight.

I'm literally watching the Johnson fight here and he doesn't inside fight for a second. I think you need to learn what mid range is son before you start calling us all clueless casuals. Also he didn't fight inside with Wlad you eejit. Seriously, learn what inside fighting is before commenting on it. **** me you think an uppercut (from distance by the way) is the equivalent of an inside fighting masterclass. ****ing clueless yourself mate.

And after that Wlad realized Fury was pillowfisted and stopped fearing him, then he tried to go for the knockout and landed multiple straights and lefts. Maybe if Wlad did this from the start he might have won you never know

12 rounds to figure out Fury was pillowfisted? It all makes sense.

This guy is a total moron and I'm nearly convinced he hasn't actually watched these fights and simply listened to some fanboy's retelling of the events.
