Joshua's inside game is pretty poor. He doesn't have the durability or stamina to constantly grapple and expose himself to body punches so much and McCracken doesn't seem to know how to teach a guy anything on the inside. Even his uppercuts, they're not punches he can throw when in a clinch. Froch had lots of similar problems. Joshua's strengths are more at mid-range, where he has space to let his combos go. Vs Pulev he showed his infighting was essentially double underhooks and nothing else. He showed this vs Parker and in the Ruiz rematch as well.

 

Explain how Furys a better inside fighter. You're a moron.

 

No he does not, I'm just after watching the whole fight and the closest he gets to inside fighting is one right hand thrown when Kingpin was pressed up against his chest in the first round. Learn what mid range is.

 

Lol nice try but you're getting torn to shreds here by everyone for your uninformed takes that don't match up with reality. I don't think Fury is a great inside fighter, but he at least tries to fight there with success. When he got dirty and scrappy against Wallin you had a display of inside fighting. Same with the first Chisora fight.

Did you not see the Wlad fight ? He got on the inside and put it on Wlad. Who is levels beyond Wallin and Chisora

 

I saw the whole thing and he's throwing combos at mid range. Inside fighting is when you're pressed right up against your opponent, not when you're just within reach of them.

 

No he didn't, he fought him at mid and long range. Also Wlad has zero inside game, so beating him on the inside is hardly like dominating a guy like Chisora on the inside who is actually well used to it and mostly relies on it.

 

Round 5 ?

 

He briefly shook Wlad out of a clinch with some close up shots that lasted about 5 seconds maximum and you take that as a sign of his insane inside fighting prowess? He reverted to mid range the second he broke the clinch too.
