When did Joshua duck Fury? When was he supposed to fight Fury?

I disagree on the Golota version of Bowe. That version Joshua would beat. Prime Bowe would beat any Joshua

To be fair to Bowe he was supposed to fight Mercer had Mercer beaten Ferguson on the Bowe/Dokes undercard.

I suppose one could argue that he should've fought Mercer anyways even coming off a loss but I don't think you can blame Bowe for fighting Ferguson who was deserving of a title shot

Frank Brunos best wins are not anywhere near Anthony Joshuas best wins. Frank Bruno has become so overrated on this forum it's wild.

The winner of Usyk vs Fury 2 would be ranked higher for me than Bowe

Bruno was nothing special, manufactured fighter, but his wins against Gerrie Coetzee and Oliver McCall were at least as impressive as any of AJ's wins.

how ? Especially the McCalll win when McCalll was probably already dealing with serious drug issues. How is that better than Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin, or even Ruiz

McCall had stopped Lennox Lewis a year earlier. Klitschko was 41 year old and had not fought for 17 months, and had lost that fight too.
McCall had an iron chin and a hard punch, despite his limitations and drugs issues he was in the same category as Parker or Ruiz at least.

That would have made Mercer #1 contender, but he pulled out of fights that he had preciously agreed upon, didn't he? It was no act of bravery and there is no evidence he would have done it.

Lot's of guys got one huge win. Hence the phrase, "lightening in a bottle." I don't rate Fat Willie Meehan that hihg for beating Demspey, Rahmen for knocking out Lewis, etc.

Bowe didn't prove it over time.

He beat an atg twice and the first to do so
The rest of his resume may be lacking somewhat but beating Holyfield at the time was huge. He imo is better than usyk and was in his physical prime

He could have beaten 40 Audley Harrisons and those 2 wins would still put him ahead

If you require quantity as well as quality, then I suggest you guys revise your usyk rating, because he hasn't many great wins himself, not compared to true greats like, Ali, Manny, Leonard, Duran, Robinson etc

Regardless who bowe fought, he really only lost once in 40.plus fights. Yes Golota should have been more disciplined, but Bowe can't be ranked with Aj imo

Opinions vary, but I can't agree with that

Lightining in a bottle happens once, It doens't happen in a 3 fight series. (Sure you can argue Holyfield shouldn't have been fighting in the 3rd fight, but there are those who argue Bowe should've gotten the nod in the 2nd fight which may have meant the 3rd fight would've never happened, but these are all opinions)

Holyfield is a greater fighter than Bowe without a shadow of a doubt, but Bowe proved superiority H2H. And proving superiority over a great like Holyfield(first of which was probably against the absolute peak version) is a feet very few HW champs can make and should be enough to put Bowe ahead of someone like Joshua.

    What legacy?

To beat washed up and old fighters is a legacy?
