I hope it will be Chisora, the man seems in need of money.

You are a good man McGrain but do you really think I am being unreasonable in my analysis?

I think you are being inevitable in your analysis. I think there is no way for you to process information except in favour of your favoured fighters. I think that it is inevitable that you would try to stick up for AJ, almost regardless, and I don't really like those interactions on here.

All boxers are trying to sound brave and they say " I want AJ", but actually they won't fight him.

The only sincere boxer is Chisora, he needs money and he would fight anyone.

No I am saying it’s not advisable for both men. I don’t think Kalle would accept this for Filip. I would favour AJ to win but in fairness to both men I think they need longer notice.

You don't think Kalle would want his fighter to take more money in a winnable fight against a fighter they've been showing interst in fighting since 2019?

Not impossible but very disappointing if true, it would be interesting to hear about Hrgovic declining this opportunity. Personally, I don't think he will have the opportunity because I think Matchroom are pursuing the very worst opponent they feel they can perpetrate on the public.

Michael Hunter was in camp with Joshua and has made himself available . It is a good option.

Parker, Bakole, Big Mak, are, reportedly interested.

Maybe Kabayel is still an option. Maybe Gassiev.

Helenius, Dacres, Ajagba, Kean, are active this month.

Jennings was in camp with Joshua . Dychko, Cusumano, are other names.

I just hope we get a decent fight, pretty sure one of these can be secured for the date.

Anything is possible but I think AJ and Derrick James will believe they knock out Hrgovic. The issue is both guys having the proper time to prepare for each other and could make more money as a stadium fight with a world title on the line. This is not Matchroom or AJ’s fault it’s Whyte. The no brainier would be AJ vs Chisora for the British public but I know this would be like Big Brother fighting Little Brother so emotionally the guys need to get there. This is not fiction as this is personally known to me. There has always been a reason why these guys never called each other out. Also everyone has been calling AJ out for years because of the money except Del-Boy. Kalle and Filip will want to prepare properly for AJ which is not an easy fight for anyone.

I think that this debacle is telling us is that Hearn thinks Whyte is a shot fighter. Because this matchup wasn't intended to give AJ true competition; there's too much money (purportedly) at stake against Wilder.

Shelly Finkel recently commented he was surprised Joshua was fighting *anyone* given the lucrative Saudi option vs Wilder. Shows you how uninterested Wilder is in fighting Ruiz this fall, too. Hearn wouldn't have signed off on Whyte unless he thought he was a pushover. Hence, any replacement has to be a pushover too. And that ain't Hrgovic.

That's why I say Matchroom should just kill the event and move up the Wilder fight. The Fury/Usyk & Joshua/Wilder card isn't happening, so why wait until January? These guys (especially Wilder) are just getting older with a longer stretch of inactivity.

AJ-Hrgovic is absolutely a smaller fight than AJ-Whyte in the UK. The idea that it is a bigger money fight is not right and is exactly the type of excuse for that fight not happening that I would expect to run in to from apologists.

This is. But Matchroom and AJ will decide who the opponent will be now Whyte has pulled out. So if it's AJ vs No Hoper AJ and Matchroom will bear some responsibility for that. A class opponent that would result in a class fight is trained and on the sidelines, probably ready to go.

It would be a) a one sided domination and very bad for Chisora's health or b) further proof that AJ is finished at the highest level. But probably A.

If you are right about Hrgovic not wanting the fight, that will be leaked by Matchroom when the heat gets turned up. Of course, if Hrgovic does want it, that will come out too.

Matchroom/Dazn be thinking last time something like this happened Ruiz stepped in and made Joshua quit and took his “0”. I would expect this event to have more chance of being cancelled now rather than going ahead. Chisora v Joshua would have been a great fight before Joshua won a World belt but imo Chisora was avoided back then. At this point in there careers,Chisora needs saving from himself but would gladly take the fight with Joshua and whilst Joshua is rebuilding from the two Usyk defeats a Chisora/Ruiz/Parker type opponent is acceptable. As for Joshua fighting Hrgovic well I would think that both fighters would need more time to prepare for each other . Let’s see what happens .

Because they have little power and little say in the matter. Eddie dances to the Middle Eastern flute where the timing of that fight is concerned.

It's true but what is the rationale there. It's not like the Saudis need time to get the funding - we know they have the money.

Joshua & Wilder could stage a huge event in London and while it would not be as lucrative as a fight in Saudi, it would move up the clock and if victorious would boost Joshua's leverage in a proposed Fury bout coming off his upcoming carnival match. It has been a red flag for me from the beginning that the Saudis needed 9+ months to stage an event.

Quite often they time these big fights to coincide with some wider launch or festival. They might not fancy moving all of that because some English fud was scooping drugs.
