I never said Bruno was fast. I don't think its fair to call him slow either. He was definitely a lot better than people remember. He gave Lewis problems with his rangy Jab. He also had moments against Tyson even though he got handled pretty quickly both times. I don't need to see videos of Joshua. I know he's stiffer, more robotic and slower than Bruno was. Doesn't hit as hard either. Don't you mean Joshua once threw 2 punches in 11 seconds
Im not comparing amatuers if that were the cas3e Tyson also has many strikes against him. Yes Joshua did win the gold if you know how to score olympic boxing which isnt the topic . It doesnt matter who he beats no one is on par with anyone in my top 10 ,it will be how he wins .A Wlad win only gets him credit to defeating a past prime fighter when Wlad will probably be at his best bc he will need to be .If boxing history hss shown us anything its current eras will never get full credit thus in the end boxing fans will continue to shoot themselves in the foot.
Speaking of Joshua, his proportions make no sense. Such a skinny stomach and small legs compared to his massive arms, shoulder, and chest. There is certainly a hint of artificiality to his physique. This content is protected Same goes for the Klitschkos, when you compare their body proportions to guys like Willard and Carnera. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/8f/e5/4a/8fe54a99b96f6221d3f53c0f6275057a.jpg https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/236x/4e/df/b9/4edfb9ca5f3fa4694e840443b1c97377.jpg I know this isn't the main topic of the thread, but since people are talking about it, Joshua can become a top 5 of all time HW. He has the right start to his career. Keep in mind he needs to be lineal champ for at least 2-3 years to be considered for a list. He has a lot to accomplish, and a long road ahead, before taking a seat with the Goats. I think he's an exciting fighter that adds a whole new level of depth to the HW division. He has a good straight right. He's strong. He likes doing the fast combos like Tyson. I'm glad he's around!
And NO Joshua did not deserve to win gold. He lost an early match, even UK fans will admit that. I do think Joshua if managed correctly catches Wlad at 41, beats the winner of Ruiz vs Parker, and then catches Ortiz near 40 by say 2019. Fill in a few easy title defenses along the way and perhaps one upset KO loss and you have a case for him being great, but looking at the ages of his best opponents, perhaps not. He could also put the fraud label on Wilder. I think he's the best out there right now.
Of course it's artifical, he's got more substances inside him than a pharmacy..... He's not the first to use illegal drugs and he certainly isn't the last...
how is vitali above lennox when old retiring lennox ripped off prime vits face in less than half time?
They all won their titles vs live bodies. Joshua won his title vs Charles Martin, the weakest alphabet title man in my lifetime, who in turn won his when his opponent's knee gave out in round two. Wlad will be 41, out of the ring for a while if Joshua meets him. That is older than anyone Marciano, Wlad, Vitali won titles from and also in-active. You do not own the facts here, and the math won't agree with you. Besides comparing AJ to top 30 ATG's which all three certainly are is a huge stretch. Who has he beaten? I think AJ is the best for now, but I'm also sure he's got a UK heavyweight garden variety type of chin. If he actually fight somebody it might be tested. Whyte who is ranked 28th a box rec shook AJ up. And yes I would root for AJ over Wilder, just because Wilder is a joke and a belt milker for the ages. The bald truth is AJ fought and lost to better in the amateur ranks. He has beaten NO one in the pro's and his next fight vs Molina would likely rate as Wlad Worst title defense. No spin away as you won't win on the numbers, data or film...
whats wlads worst defence? I'd probably go with the most damaged opponent, so that's easily the half blind shot Brewster. Mormeck was truly appalling too by the time he faced him. Although Pianeta was barely a boxer, a 100% awful fighter, he was at least prime.
