Anthony Lewis Bellew vs. David Deron Haye II & Emmanuel Rodríguez vs. Paul Butler RBR.

Yeah I went to the open workout and was surprised with how sharp Bellew looked up close

 

Announce your retirement Haye. Just enough. You’re a HoFer.

 

Haye gave him the range in the 3rd round. Got into some silly exchanges and payed for it.

 

Haye fought the wrong fight. Should have went on his bike and worked the odd jab but forced the pace and got caught.

haye has been done for years. last time he looked half decent was 5 years ago.. cant believe people bought this **** for the 10th time

 

Sad end to Haye. But he was done after the shoulder injury and was never prepared even for a borderline world level Bellew. He’s made some money off of this so he won’t care but bellew could’ve had some great fights against great fighters instead of this last year or so.

 

I do hope this fight gives Bellew the belief he actually is a meaningful HW and he next fights someone with two working legs and arms. I want Bellew vs Mexican Joe: the Matchroom vs Haymaker promoters' rematch!

 

Bellew gets absolutely no credit from me, he beat a shot fighter. David haye conned me again.

 

I think he came in fully fit and genuinely thought he would win.

I don’t think it’s fair to say he “scammed” the public. Both fights were entertaining.

 

I'd have more respect for Bellew if he'd have fought one of the many very decent CWs (CW is clearly his weight). But he didn't. He had a good win over Makabu, a nothing win over a nothing fighter (Flores) and then ran away from the top CWs.

But he will milk this win even more than the previous one.

Definitely. While a Haye comeback was unlikely this is boxing and it's not over until the fat lady sings. Considering how long Haye survived in the first fight it was definitely a premature stoppage.
