All are pretty mediocre relative to their hype/notoriety/respect, I have to say. Actually, Mundine's resume would surprise quite a lot of people. And I am a big Geale fan; winning abroad against Sturm and Sylvester to unify belts in back to back fights? That's a dope move.

Mundine was actually impressive considering he came from rugby league

I dislike him too but I have over the years had to point out that he is, in ring and without question on paper, better than the vast majority of boxing followers seem to think.

Mundine would of been an A level fighter if he had a amatuer career. Skill wise in his prime was a level above the other guys.

I thought he had some amateur experience.
How long had he been boxing before he turned pro?

Because in his first 3 years, Mundine worked his way up to 2 title shots and won the second one.

Apparently he had 4 amatuer bouts as a kid which is not really an amatuer career. He played professional rugby league and turned to pro boxing at age 25. I reckon if he stuck with boxing as a kid an never played rugby league that he could of been Australia’s best ever boxer up there with Jeff Fenech.

with the exception of Horn( at the moment). ALL the three above him have been a disgrace to boxing one way or another over the years,
    Green mugging RJJ ,
Mundine fighting a bum a month on PPV & Daniel No Mas Geale treating the sport as a cash grab ripping his gullible fans off.
oh and if Kostya the Russian is Aussies so is Hungarian Joe Burner .
o reckon as a pure talent Choc Mundine is the best of the bunch mentioned , I've grown to respect Mundine over the years and thought less of Greenie and Geale .

Australia has had three A-level guys in my time following the sport:

Jeff Fenech - Three world titles in three different weight divisions going unbeaten while doing so. Unlucky not to snag a fourth.

Kostya Tszyu - Undisputed 140lb champ. Yes, he was a product of the Soviet sports machine but fought his whole professional career out of Australia.

Vic Darchinyan - Undisputed 115lb champ. Again, fought his whole professional career out of Australia. Was never the best amateur in the world. Became the best professional in the world in his weight division fighting out of Australia.

I think turning out two undisputed world champions when the country is half a world away from the most competitive boxing market in the world in the US and a half-world away from the second most competitive boxing market in the world in Europe is good going by any standards.

Two hall of famers & hopefully another to come.

Jeff Harding pulled off the most epic win of any Australian fighter, Outlaw.

Went to Las Vegas & delivered the goods. On a Top Rank promotion as well. I certainly haven't forgotten it.

I don't regard him as an A-level guy but he probably could have taken all of the guys mentioned by the OP.

He was certainly tougher than any of them.

Harding would have pulverized all of the above mate , Green gets stopped , Mundine might see the bell if he got on his bike and kept his whiskers dry but Danny Geale would have No Mas of the Hitman after 3 rounds . but then again Geale was middleweight ,both Green and Mundine could fight at 175lbs .
