mundines fighting his next fight at 154- then the contender winner at 168- i dont see how the up and down he s doing will be good for him. its taken him 18 months to get healthily down to 154!! - and suddenly danny green calls him out at 175- knowing he s just killed himself to get down to junior middle.

 

He was KOed by Sven Ottke. That is a disgrace. His Chin is pure Glass.

 

Not defending him mate but it was a temple shot combined with fatigue.

Although getting KO'd by Ottke by whatever means aint a great rap atsch

People only have to go to the Aussie forum,to get a general idea what Aussies think of the mouse that roared Mundine.

 

I'm not sure if Mundine would even have the balls to sign to fight Pavlik; why on earth is he going to fight the Australian Contender winner if he's interested in having a half decent fight record. He just wants easy money and to be high profile in his own country. Although I currently live in Oz and most people have never heard of him.

 

Why was Mundine ever hyped in the first place? Who has he ever beat that is actually world class elite level?

Mundine UD Pavlik 120-108.Pavlik to take more shots to the face than a Bangkok bar slut.that is if he doesnt get cholera,AIDS or swine flu or golden staff before the fight.

 

If geale could push him to the limit then pavlik would push him thru the ring apron.

Mundine called out Kessler for a rematch for 2 years but when Kessler lost his belt to Calzaghe and became Mundine's mandatory, Mundine suddenly decided he wasn't interested in a rematch and moved down to MW.

Since moving down to MW he has only weighed in at the MW limit of 160lbs twice out of 4 fights.

Mundine won the IBO MW belt in a controversial points win over Geale at MW. Geale's protest was upheld and after it was watched by 3 independent judges, it was scored an SD win to Geale and the IBO mandated a rematch. Rather than rematch Geale, Mundine vacated the IBO MW belt saying he was moving down to JMW to win another world title, claiming to be a 'pioneer' i.e. the first person to ever win 3 world titles going down in weight.

Mundine was scheduled to fight Robert Medley for the vacant IBO JMW belt next Monday but he wanted all 4 officials (ref and 3 judges) to be New South Wales-based, contrary to the IBO rules. When the IBO refused to capitulate to his demands, they withdrew from the fight, and Team Mundine instead got the WBA to offer up their International MW title for the fight.

In other words, Mundine moved down to JMW to fight Medley to avoid the rematch at MW with Geale and 1 week out from the Medley fight, Mundine has changed the conditions and now Medley has to come up to MW instead of fighting at his natural weight of 154lbs.

Who else has ever vacated a belt in order to move down in weight and then ended up not making that weight and fighting for a lesser title at the weight of the title they just vacated?

Green and Mundine have been calling each other out for years - Mundine called Green out straight after Green retired. Mundine was nowhere near 154 when Green called him out last, and since beating RJJ, Green has shown zero interest in Mundine, because he knows he's on a good wicket now and Mundine needs him for a big payday.

 

Mundine has reneged on the 154 IBO Title shot.
The Mundine camp walked from the IBO after the IBO refused Mundines request to have all NSW boxing official judge the fight.
The IBO made it clear that it was a title fight and there would be a regulation 2 international judges sitting on the fight.

1 week out from the fight and the self proclaimed "Pioneer" of boxing (3 different belts in descending wieght divisions) has stooged both his opponent Robert Medley and the Aussie public with his alleged fraudulent attempts to manipulate the IBO.
