Anthony Mundine has left Sydney for the US to chase his dream fight in Las Vegas.

He hopes to return by next weekend with a three-fight deal that will finally convince the Australian public he can make it on the sport's biggest stage.

"I'll fight anybody, any place, any time," Mundine said.

Determined to prove he can achieve far more than belting up outclassed opponents in Australia, Mundine has signed a three-month deal with respected American manager Cameron Dunkin to secure him the fights.

Dunkin manages the affairs of several US world champions and has no doubts "The Man" will be a smash hit in the States.

"He's been a great champion. He's 36 years old, but he's still an outstanding fighter, and there's great fights out there for him," Dunkin told an American boxing website.

"He could fight (Julio Cesar) Chavez Jr, he could fight Miguel Cotto, or he could fight Canelo (Saul Alvarez).

"He's really a 154-pounder (70kg), but whoever's a big fight for him, he's ready to go."

Mundine confirmed Australia's greatest boxer Jeff Fenech would be part of the team for the US fights.

"Jeff was a great fighter on the front foot," Mundine said.

"Technically he knew how to punch and he can help me in that area with my dad.

"He's also very passionate about the sport. He said he'd help me with anything. No one has connections in America like Jeff Fenech."

Mundine is travelling alone but will link up with Dunkin at his Los Angeles base. Dunkin has close connections with Top Rank and the head honcho Bob Arum.

"If they can get me an opportunity, I'll take care of the rest," Mundine said.

"I want the dream fights and I want Australia to get behind me.

"A four-fight deal - three in America and one in Australia - is what I'm after. I know 36 is not too old in boxing. The Americans will love my style. They love charisma and they love showmen."
