Never been about the Money that is Bull ****,it's all about Manipulating his already very suspect career end of story.!!!! Mahunga
He came across a bit better than normal last night, i think he knows his career is coming towards the end and doesn't want the public to hate him anymore. He wasn't interested in bagging Waters out like he has opponents in the past. He also indicated he might not fight for much longer, it was subtle but i noticed it when they spoke about the possible Green rematch. At least he didn't claim to be the best last night.
Only watched the start of the NRL footy show, it comes on late in Vic after our AFL footy show. Was never going to wait up for Mundine's dribble. Interesting comments you make though Beaver, and funny it was only recently Mundine was claiming he'd be around for another 5 years! Looks like the very last of his loyal ESB fans have already given up on him, and if he goes ahead with the Woods bout next he might as well just retire!
Didn't see the show but that's classic! Anyway, there was a big article in Monday's SMH magazine about Mundine, he struck all these Muhammed Ali poses for the photos and in it he said he only made $2mill for the Green fight, which I thought was interesting given that so many of his fanboys on here have claimed he made $5/$7/$10mill for it. He also said it cost him $100K to get Kessler out here and that he only made $20k for that fight, and has refused ever since to pay big bucks to get a world class opponent out here. How $100k is "big bucks" is beyond me, but anyway, if he's complaining about having to dish out that paltry amount to get the then WBA SMW champ out here, I can't imagine he'll offer any recognised JMW a worthwhile amount to come out here. He's a joke.
To my memory, he was carrying Ali's biography (along with a chuppa chupp) with him when he announced his retirement from league nd his intentions to start boxing.
He came across like he's been exposed. Ray Warren had him stumped on a few questions basically asking him is he going to step up & fight a genuine world class fighter or not. I luved it.
Yeah, I remember the chuppa chup in his mouth...he said he decided to convert to Islam after reading Malcolm X's biagraphy, because Ali had converted after meeting Malcolm X
Correct, and unfortunately he's used many of Ali's 'signatures' along the way, usually in a cringeworthy manner. Especially to those of us who remember the original versions from Ali himself. Sounds from the interview like he's finally pulling his head in a bit - which is a relief because not even the most gullible still believe his grandiose bull****.
im starting to feel sorry for mundine......he had the talent. and wasted it on making millions....atsch he deserves all the bad press he gets......
