I wouldn't post this in the general because I have no doubt who would get the over whelming vote, with Pavlik nuthugging at an all time high. But who do you guys think wins this? Pavlik, shares a lot of similarities with Danny Green IMO. Both fight fairly conventionally, both power punchers, but Pavlik with more tenacity. Can a focused and hungry Mundine pull this off?

mmmm i doubt Mundine could stand up to Pavliks power. Taylor is fast and moves very well, but Pavlik caught him with many punches.

    Pavlik KO 9

Pavlik by KO IMO as well.
Similar round stoppage to what Marcus said. Pavlik KO Round 8.

Far superior??? What are you a Mundine nuthugger now or something

Remember mate, you picked Taylor, and he WAS the best middle in the world. Pavlik deserves the cred he is getting.

I thought i read you didnt see the fight? Have you watched Taylor vs Pavlik? Were you not impressed?

I didn't say I was picking Mundine anywhere did I? I just pointed out that Mundine is FAR superior to Taylor in terms of defense, which he is. As for picking Taylor, I said it was going to be a very close fight, and that if Taylor could box against Pavlik he would win. He chose to trade and got KTFO. I never said it was an easy pick, in fact, quite the opposite.

Fair enough. I have Pavlik winning this also, but I think Choc would be a live under dog. In the end, I think the work rate of Pavlik wins this, although Choc can be very elusive, and would be a much togher fight for Pavlik then most expect.

Mundine wouldn't get caught with the right hand like Taylor did, but Pavilk might outwork him thats for sure. If Mundine dosn't turn up gun shy(big if) he has every chance.

Are we talking bout Mundine Pre-eye-injury?

If so Id say Mundine will win. And thats not because im a mundine fan but on a purely logical basis.

    Firstly Pavlik is slightly Overrated.

Mundine is 1 weight division above and slightly taller. He is much more composed (at least lately he has been) both offensively and defensively and has the edge there on pavlik. Pavlik might get fired up and leave himself open.

Cmon Pavlik has only beaten 1 or 2 somebody's (not saying Mundine has anything better on his resume) so to say that he will go up and beat a top 3 of the next weight division is a bit far fetched.

Pavlik would be at least 5cm taller than Choc Hmm.

Maybe he would, but i think he is a good boxer and doesnt drop his hands low. I think he blocked a lot of Taylors punches with his gloves...and iv watched the fight 5 times now

Yes it is. UD simply means he wins by unanimous decision, meaning that all the judges have him winning the fight. It has nothing AT ALL to do with the margin. I said in my posts it was going to be very close plenty of times. Its ridiculous to pick SD because all you are doing is prediciting inconsistency in the judging.

Look we all know which nuts i love to rub, but come on...Mundines defence and movement would befuddle the **** out of Pavlik who is hardly has the greatest offence. Pavlik is the new flavour of the month which is cool but I have doubts he is even going to win the remtach with Taylor. The skill diff between the 2 was very noticable.

    Old Man Mosley KO Cotto.
