Not sure who wins, but I definitely want to see it. I'll go with Bute, but it's a big toss-up.

Mundine by a comfortable points win. If he ever gets off his arse and challenges himself.

So, what is your short-hand analysis of this fight, brooklyn1550? You seem to think Mundine would take it...:D

Where would you get that impression?:D

Honestly, I haven't seen enough of either guy to make a pick or an analysis of it, but it jumps in my head as one of the more interesting fights that could be made at 168.:good

From what I've seen, both are fast and talented.

Because usually people put their favourite to win first in the "v.";) (I always do!)

I have to admit I think this is 50/50...and I don't say that every day. Next year, though, I'd side with Bute who is improving and gaining experience; Mundine is not getting faster...

Is it too soon for Bute to fight Kessler? Mundine would be a good measuring stick seeing as Kessler schooled Anthony:good

It's too soon for Bute to fight Kessler but I wouldn't say it's too soon for Bute to fight Mundine. Would be a great measuring stick! But Mundine ain't fighting top 10 fighters unless the WBA is knocking his door down. And it seems Bute wants to measure up by fighting Andrade, which is an easier opponent than Mundine, and better known in the USA.

I don't think this fight happens unless Bute loses a couple of fights and Mundine thinks he can beat him for sure. I'd love to see it though, next year, perhaps, when Mundine is full Champ and if Bute still has a belt...:good

Mundine really will be judged over the next 18 months, as ive seen nothing so far that said "Champion" about him. He fights bums, talks ****, and calls himself the "Man".

I doubt very much that Mundine will ever materialize into a elite fighter, and will cash in on West Sydney's ever so interlectual Boxing fans, and their disposable income. Well, it would only be spent on Rat tail haircuts and Holden Commadore's.

I heard rumours, albeit awhile ago, that Kessler was going to fight Mundine again?!:huh anyway, I think me and you have discussed Kessler V Bute before, and both agreed 2009 is more likely, although if Bute fought Andrade, Mundine, he could fight Kessler late this year:D :happy

Yeah...2009 at the earliest for Kessler v. Bute...might still be too soon for Bute...(might always be too soon!:-()...

Andrade will hopefully happen in summer, if he beats Stieglitz. But that would mean Bute fights his mandatory, before autumn. Hope he does, because I couldn't take another Joppy-style tune-up fight...I really couldn't. So...I guess, theoretically, Bute COULD fight Mundine in summer...and then Andrade, as his mandatory...and then Kessler...:think

    :D

Ain't gonna happen, though, because Mundine would never risk it. I'm not sure Bute would, either, since Mundine wouldn't have a full belt by then...Joe would still be WBA SuperChamp and Bute couldn't unify with Mundine's WBA belt.

:good Boxing has more in common with politics everyday:patsch Well, lets hope it gets done, kessler v Bute, it should get done, although Im a little miffed at the silence from the Kessler camp at the moment, regarding his next opponent:think

Word on the streets is Mikkel is fighting "a name opponent in summer!":good

p.s. I hate the politics side of boxing and I am terrified looking at myself accepting it more and more, as I learn more about how it all works! :(
