SMW... And I dunno who pecks is maybe if you tell me a little bit more about him I might know who he is
He lives in Japan....you wont miss him....hes walking round in a souths jumper every day.:yep Ok to answer you question...I dont know much about TM at SMW....may need to look that up.....I thought he skiped SMW and went from MW to LHW, CW and HW. At MW TM has a better record and I think was at his best......TM At SMW choc was in his prime....so I say AM At LHW, CW, HW.....all go to TM as he is proven at that weight.....AM wont make CW or HW. All in all TM is the better fighter, harder, stronger tougher. Anybody know how many other fighters have come from MW to HW and won titles?
Tony fought better fighters, in a better era and showed his class all the way to heavyweight. Though Jnr has a clear edge in speed...Snr is overall the better fighter without a doubt. At his very best, focused and in shape he was very formidable. Early Choc gets pasted inside 6....the more experienced and prime Choc loses a decision...this Choc, the middleweight Choc would get knocked out in the mid rounds.
Good call WaR. Tony was a battler in making M/W in the late 70's... would have been a great SM/W also. A fight between both guys at LH/W would provide fireworks IMO.
Emille Griffith, Benny Briscoe, Denny Moyer, Louis Rodriguez, Bunny Sterling, CARLOS MONZON...very, very short list. Pretty impressive names. Win, Lose or Draw. It's a pity ol' Ern isn't around to steer Anthony in the direction of genuine credibility. Anthony is a great fighter none the less. I just don't believe he'll be remembered in 20 years regarding more than 2 fighting opponents. Green and Geale at this point. The names of Kessler, Siaca, Echols etc will be trivia questions in reference to Mundine. If there is NOT a re-match with Geale, Mundine's own memory might rely on Greens name for the future huggers... His name will lead to many shitful arguements amongst pissed idiots in 20 years... as it does now. That might be the only legacy.
