the guy has turned into a bit of a joke lately. he lasted good fighter he when again was daniel Geale and it was very close fight, ever since then it has been c level fighters while he has been talking **** about fighting Cotto,pacman,Mayweather. Hardcore boxing fans just laugh knowing it will never happen

 

My corporate bookie offered me 2 good tickets to attend his fight Wednesday night.

I politely declined the offer.

Well someone has to go and watch him fight a guy with 10 pro fights from a TV show that wrapped up over a year ago. Freebies!

 

Mundine is now just a domestic fighter who talks like a world beater.

He was busted staging a WWE-style post fight incident with his last opponent Ryan Walters a couple fights back so's to create an opportunity to fight another bum. Instead of the media calling him out on it, they helped build that farce of a fight by reporting it as bad blood.

And yes, with the media who knows nothing about boxing continuing to print the garbage he spews about a big fight being on the horizon, there are still plenty of Aussies still gullible enough to pay to watch his mismatches.

I talked to one of his fans the other day, a muslim brother of his, who was adament the only reason he can't get big fights is because no-one wants to give him a shot. I told him how he turned down the Kessler fight and Golovkin fight, and how how Mundine was never serious about fighting tough opposition after his cum eye infection, but he didn't believe me and said I was just hating.

Anyway, Mundine is actually fighting the Australian Contender winner next, who was a former Rugby League player. It's a joke of a fight, but the cable company promoting his sham of a career is advertising it as "THE BIGGEST FIGHT OF THE YEAR".. LMFAO. They have to share some of the blame aswell as the people who still pay to watch his fights. They are what allow him to continue making millions fighting South American cab drivers and domestic fighters. Mundine has got it made. One of the most successful frauds in the world right now.

 

At least we have the Ottke KO to help ease the pain.

he was gathering momentum nicely until around 3-4 years ago when he nearly lost an eye. He picked a contact lense up from a restaurant floor and inserted it back into place and picked up an infection. Apparently it was a very close call as to whether he would lose his eye. He came back fairly well but has plateau'd and seems to be going backwards these days. I was never his biggest fan and he was never going to be a world beater but surely there must come a time in a fighter's career when they have to realise if they haven't made it by now, it's not gonna happen?
It's time to **** or get off the pot mr Mundine (I'm leaning towards the latter).

 

He made the 154 lb limit last couple of fights but looks weak and not too great either.

I'm not sure what his aim is but he's made plenty of money by now, but we'll see what happens, it ain't over til it's over.

 

He was all about the money nothing else.

 

Mundine is the Australian version of David Haye.

A gutless ***** who constantly runs his mouth about how good he is, and what he is "going to do" then taking **** poor fights against nobodies.

Similarly he only has a fan base because of a ****ed up media, and people being naturally ******ed.

As an Australian, let me tell you that he is nothing but a fraud and an embarrassment, and so are his fans.

Former WBA super middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (40-3, 24KO’s) will be in action next Wednesday when he will have his last contest with an Australian opponent when he hopes to defeat the Australian 2010 super middleweight contender winner Garth Wood (9-1-,5KO’s) in a ten round middleweight bout at the Acer Arena at Homebush, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Wood scored wins over former world rated Victor Oganov and Kariz Kariuki to capture the Contender 168 pound title in 2010. Mundine who is now trained by former WBO 147 pound challenger Jeff Malcolm is looking to eventual challenge Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather and is also looking for fights in the USA against Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito.

WBA#2 Mundine hopes to challenge for the WBA interim 154 pound title against Rigoberto Alvarez soon. Mundine said ”We are trying to get Alvarez here, win the title here and then go over there. I would probably defend against Trout or they are talking about Ronald Hearns, who is [Thomas] ‘Hitman’ Hearns’s son. I don’t care. Once I get over there, just line them up … I want to climb the ladder until I get to the best of the best.”
Other names on the list include WBA light middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito, who lost a unanimous points decision to Pacquiao last month.”I believe I can beat every fighter in the world,” Mundine added. ”The only ones who can match me are the ones who are at the top – the premier fighters like the Pacquiaos and the Mayweathers. That is when you are going to get tested.

”Cotto is going to be a difficult fight but I believe I can beat him; Margarito is going to be a difficult fight but I believe I can beat him. It’s exciting times for me because I am chasing my dream and I want to try and make it become reality.”I want to become one of the best pound for pounders in the world and I think once I get one name and they can see what I can do they are going to say put him in with this guy, put him in with that guy. They will want to step the competition up and up, but I am ready for the challenge.” For now, he is focused on beating Wood. ”What is driving me for this fight is the desire for what is after this,” he said. ”I want to get this out of the way and just move onto bigger dreams that I have set for myself.

Just read this article on another boxing site...sad really, as Ray Wheatley I always thought was a respected boxing journalist and official...it's the typical garbage you can expect from Australian media...(alot of which is owned by the same company that owns the cable provider supporting Mundine)...spreading Mundine's typical "the big fight is near" bull**** to the masses...He's been sprouting the same crap for years...sole purpose to keep his name in the news in order to promote his farcical mismatches...I see now he is using Cotto's name in order to justify a fight for a BS interim belt against Saul Alvarez's brother if he will agree to fight in Australia, which he won't...Again Mundine just setting the stage to fight another bum with promises of a Cotto fight to keep people interested...His game is so played out, everyone can see right through it now...Too bad the gutless media choose to turn a blind eye and just continue propping him up and riding his bull****..
