Im a fan if purely looking at his physical ability. He was a fantastic athlete. Close to a Kangaroo jumper back in the day and perhaps would of made it in another era if he didn't have Fittler and Daley in front of him. I do disagree with his comments that they were "favoured",they were better.

Same with boxing, just outside the very elite in his prime but always remember him beating up Danny Green in their first fight. If you consider that he was around the top in not one but two very difficult sports, then you appreciate that hes very talented.

As a person, dont know him but the 9/11 comments were horrible and I wonder if he will reflect in his old age what a mistake those words were.

Mundines comments on 9/11 are only controversial in the west. In the Middle east he would be a hero for what he said.

Im not picking a side here

But obviously in the West 9/11 is a horrible tradegy but we pay very little attention to the death toll in the middle east caused by western forces.

    9/11: 3000 civillian deaths

Death toll of civillians caused by western forces in the middle east: 244,000

Im a non biased pragmatist but i find it interesting the people who get angriest at mundines comments couldnt care less about the 244,000 "reported" deaths in the middle east.

We have basically done 100x more damage over there but nobody cares eh

    Tribalism is fascinating.
