    Parker could end up leaving his gonads in the locker room by playing it safe on the back foot like Tatum did. Don't be surprised if he doesn't apply the fast hook x over hand right hand sequence on the front foot.
    If he does he may get layed out face first on the mat similar to Holyfield in the rubber match against Bowe.

    Joshua will be wanting Parker to come forward into his blast zone.

    Because Joe is far more relentless than Wlad, I don't think AJ's chin is necessarily bad enough that Parker will flat out KHTFO, but go back to how bad AJ was gassed after the Wlad KD in the 5th, which led directly to him being dropped in the 6th, if Parker pushes the pace, AJ will gas and badly, and won't leave the ref any other option. Wlad took his foot off the gas, he was tired as well, and didn't press the issue, if Parker comes in in full blown pressure fighter mode like he did against Fury, AJ is ****ed.

    That's a valid point of view - I just don't feel like the equation adds up for me, the deficit in power between Parker and Klitschko not bridged quite enough by his edge in relentlessness...but I look forward to seeing it unfold, either way! :thumbsup:

    Are you telling me that Wlad was the FASTEST that AJ has faced?

    Anyone else?

    I suppose Whyte or Klitschko. To be fair, literally every other person has been slow as fuck.

    Takam = average hand/foot speed, being generous.
    Molina = quite slow.
    Breazeale = embarrassingly slow for an Olympic "great American hope" type contender.
    Martin = average to slow.
    Cornish = ridiculously slow.
    Johnson = a little faster than average with the jab, but doesn't really throw anything else (when he does, straight right for instance...average speed), and nothing with any urgency, and even sometimes gets lazily complacent and lumps out a slower version of the jab.
    Love = slow.
    Gavern = slow.
    Sprott = was a little slow in his prime and is now ancient.
    Bakhtov = average.
    Airich = extraordinarily slow.
    Skelton = average to decent speed in his prime but old & gun-shy

    ...and we don't really have to keep going, we can "Professor & Mary-Ann" the remaining half dozen - all slow guys.

    There must be a reason why AJ has never fought anyone with speed.

    Surely then he is woefully unprepared for what Parker is about to unleash on him.

    Again, though, Parker isn't on some different planet in terms of speed. He isn't Chambers/Haye/Byrd/Tillis/Ali fast. He was out-sped h2h by Ruiz Jr., even (beating that edge in speed with timing, more than anything)

    He's faster than average.

    He's faster than probably either Whyte or Klitschko, but not by a Federation Star-fleet warp drive or anything.

    His speed is a definite advantage for him in this fight, among the biggest ones factoring into his chances for success, but not some kind of secret weapon that's going to blow Joshua's mind. Parker ain't got it quite like that.

    Actually, Parker's speed is a HUGE difference between these two.

    If you get time, sit down and watch several fights from Parker like Meehan, Saglam, Dimitranko, etc.

    Then view some AJ fights straight after.

    The difference in speed is huge. And it is why Parker usually knocks out tall powerful guys within 3 rounds.

    I've done the side by side videos thing. Parker is faster, no doubt. He just isn't fast to such a degree that we're going to see a replay of Gary Russell Jr. vs. Jhohnny González writ large, here.

    Just IMO.

    To be fair, physics and biomechanics kinda make it impossible to be a huge amount faster - the amount faster he is will no doubt play some part in things however.

    I suspect straight off the top of my head that Dillian Whyte and WK would be the fastest guys that Joshua has had to deal with, but it must be noted that he DID deal with them.

    Getting quite amped for this.

    It's not just Parker's "handspeed" I'm talking about.

    It's his "in-out" movement and general fluidity.

    I am really shocked that AJ is taking on Parker having never faced SPEED before.

    That is crazy in my eyes.

    He did indeed deal with them, but not without hairy moments where he got stunned or dropped against both...and neither has the stamina of Parker (while Klitschko also lacks his relentlessness and Whyte lacks his ring IQ)...
