I agree with that in principle, but in this case Joshua did next to nothing in the 1st half. To give Parker the ninth, as everyone on both sides of the aisle did and still reach a wide score, you'd need to see all (or all but one, to reach 118-110, all but a pair to reach 117-111) of the first six to Joshua. That just isn't what I saw. Parker didn't separate himself in the early going as the vastly superior man or anything, the rounds were all close, he never dominated - but he did outbox Joshua for long stretches in that first half. It boggles the mind that someone could have Joshua up at the midway point (as you'd need to in order to reach a wide final tally)

I was biased in watching towards Parker as I don't like the fraud personality that AJ portrays that people fall for.

Can be arsed doing a round by round but I had it as even as it could be going into the 10th. AJ won the last 3, therefore won the fight.
Referee was a joke from what I remember, only whatched once, under the influence, but I remember some toe to toe action that Joe was getting the better of and referee jumping in every time.

AJ is and won't ever be an all time great, but hes probably the best heavyweight out there at the moment.

To those who have re watched it intently - was Joshua hurt once or twice in the fight? In real time I swear his legs gave out after an uppercut but went unnoticed til I noticed, in highlights, an uppercut from JP that seemed to stagger AJ. Im not sure if it was the same punch though. Youtube comments seemed to spot it too. Unfortunately JP backed off and probably didn't realize he uad him hurt. Not sure though. To be fair, I think one of AJs uppercuts in the clinch seemed to wake JP up and remind him to be weary

I caught that shot live! (and that was only half paying attention, with my son in my lap, not even watching it closely enough to score. Go me!)

There was at least another one uppercut from Parker that caused the same tipsy "whoa" reaction in Joshua. He was never seriously hurt, though.

Yep that was at 2:07. Was also a weird motion, unexplainable live. Got me excited there for a second.

The second one was the armpit uppercut I think, not sure either shot truly hurt him that badly. Think it showed the cagey nature of the fight a second there were opportunities I think both guys missed to capitalise on, perhaps not with a KO/KD but at least to cause some punishment, potentially.

Yes, Joshua was rocked twice. Can't recall the rounds but he was definitely wobbled twice.

Did not score it live, but Joshua won it. 8-4 or 7-3-1 would be by card. Parker himself said he lost. Very boring fight. Joshua out landed Parker in 11 of the 12 rounds.
