I scored it wide to Joshua but we agreed on 3, 6 & 9 to Parker.

I wanted to give him 12 as well for symmetry, but couldn't justify it.

The first couple of rounds were interesting, scorecard-wise. Parker clearly had the better hand speed but I didn't think quite landed enough to take them.

The Kiwi judge who only gave him a round really let the side down. If you're so afraid of giving rounds to your own guy lest you be called biased, you ought to stand aside & let someone with a backbone do the job instead.

I had it 1 up Joshua. Could’ve literally seen from that to 5 up Joshua, to 3 up Parker. It was a terrible fight where Parker wouldn’t let Joshua get any kind of pace going, and Joshua wouldn’t let Parker get any pace going. They literally just spoiled each other the whole night. It was a great display of defence from both guys, especially fighting at that range. But neither were good enough to ever capitalise or really hurt or even hit each other. It was hardly a dominating win like some people are claiming. AJ wasn’t good enough to crack Parker’s Defence, and likewise for Parker cracking AJ’s. Simple as that rlly. But like I said, I was impressed by the defence of both guys. That’s about it.

Joshua won 8-9 rounds. Scoring the fight for Parker or as a draw is simply a bad joke and pure hate towards AJ. Parker was good from time to time but overall he landed nothing, slowed down massively in the late rounds and even the rounds he won he was not dominating at all.

Maybe you should consider a name change then, because Parker did a marginally less effective version of what Fury will ultimately end up doing to AJ. I guess those scoring in Tyson's favor will be way off right?

Where are all those who thought JP was easy to hit?

That's kind of the same reason AJ was far less aggressive.

    :deal:

Both men had more success negating each other's effectiveness than either did at generating their own effective offense.

Yeah do not see how anyone gave this round to Parker. Really easy one to score.

I almost never score fights but this one was just tactical (slow) enough to score easily plus I was streaming (legally!) and on the forum on my tablet.

I had it 7-5 Parker because I gave the Samoan every early close round whenJoshua was doing virtually nothing but following Parker around. After the 6th Joshua remembered that he was in a boxing ring and threw a few more punches per round while Parker became strangely less inclined to mix it up even though he wobbled Joshua twice.

I could see a draw or 1 rou nd win for Joshua but was not shocked to see the utterly corrupt and incompetent 118-110 scores (twice!).

I can understand Wilder not wanting to go to the UK to fight Joshua even though he and I both see an easy KO for Wilder. He's going to need the KO because Brit boxers in Britain are usually unbeatable on the scorecards. And this Joshua guy is now a god in the UK so Wilder will have to "baptize" Joshua like he told Fury.

After reviewing the Takam fight I believed he was easy to hit but didn't understand how much his movement would paralyze Joshua.

Another round. If you’re going by participation scoring, sure a Parker round. He was given credit for landing a right hand that missed. AJ not only landed a good left hook but his landed jabs made the difference. You only score effort when neither guy is landing clean effective shots. In this round, AJ was the only guy landing clean. If this were live, I would understand your scorecard thus far but even the telecast addressed Parker’s right hand missing.

Nope. I’m a little confused on your scoring. This round was an easy scoring round. These throat punches and things you mention Parker landing, I’m not seeing. I typically break down rounds by the minute. It makes it easier to score and track as the round progresses. Within that minute, I’m of course tracking scoring criteria and yes I count defense.

But the really true measuring stick that takes away all doubt within those individual minutes in my case are actual clean punches landing. I’m also watching on a big 65 inch Samsung 4K television. I can literally see the sweat flying off Parker’s head or vice versa when someone lands.

I also look for the reaction of how a fighter is effected by said landed shots. Although these rounds are close and both guys are rendering eachother’s effectiveness, AJ is indeed landing more clean shots especially in round 4.

Round 4 was an Anthony Joshua round. I’ve even researched outside sources and they’re all giving AJ round 4 as well like this guy for example who only had AJ winning the fight by a couple of rounds.

Outside sources also had Golovkin and Kovalev winning. Interesting that you suddenly started to care about outside sources so much, not too long ago you downplayed them
