AJ is a terrible nickname, and those aren't even his initials. (although "AOOJ" would be an even worse nickname, tbf)

I can't believe after five years in the pros and becoming unified heavyweight champ, nobody has pulled him aside to say "you really need something better than AJ, mate..."

"The Phenom" or "The Specimen"...anything really, even a generic mediocre one at this point would be a step up.

Wilder vs. Fury, a vastly inferior fight with a vastly inferior pair of combatants, gets hundreds of threads made on it before even being officially announced - while this one gets shrugged off. :shakehead:

Im an AJ fan but I see this as a very competetive fight.

A lot of AJ fans seem to be blinded and I can see that. Reality is he is still very green and I personally think he's gone backwards a bit since the Wlad fight.

Povetkin is very experienced and has a style that will test joshua and could cause him a lot of strife

Joshua of course is a physical beast

Whoever wins deserves credit, I'm picking AJ by decision, I think Joshua starts well, povetkin works his way in and rounds 3-7 he has some success but I see joshua surviving it and povetkins tank emptying and joshua stifling him and edging the championship rounds.

But that rounds 3-7 povetkin has a real chance

If my prediction happens it'll be called a robbery, if AJ shockingly blasts him it'll be povetkin was shot

Povetkin is older than GGG & Joshua is prime like Canelo.

I think Povetkin can crack that chin & lay him out though.

Lay him out like a Siberian bear skin.

Anthony "The Candyman" Joshua. His resemblance to a young Tony Todd is uncanny.

I hope Povetkin wins and I feel he has a chance. But I predict that Joshua knocks him out in the middle rounds. If Povetkin takes the power and Joshua gasses late, which I expected him to do against Parker but it was the opposite, then Povetkin will be very dangerous in those late rounds. That will be Povetkin's best chance at a KO, not early, but late. I just think the damage will wear on him and Joshua won't gas out.

Big credit to whoever wins. On career-entirety merit, these are the two best HW's in the world.

AJ to win by late stoppage (British stoppage) around round 11-12, however I think it'll be similar to the Takam fight. I think Povetkin has lost a step going on his previous fights (Rudenko, Hammer and Price) and lacks size in there and it should be a comfortable nights work for AJ.

I'm excited for this fight and will be rooting for Sasha. Unfortunately, I'm expecting the stoppage (British or not) in favor of Ahooj(AOOJ). I've been watching the Price fight hoping that's what happens, but Povetkin just doesn't have that elite explosiveness anymore.

I'm rooting for Pov. Joshua is boring me lately. Awful performances.

    I voted AJ by decision.

I think ever since he was dropped by WK, AJ hasn't had the same confidence. I think he will box a safe fight against Povetkin and win a decision.

I had a friend who had the initials AJF and he went by AJ. AJ’s don’t seem to follow nickname rules
