I'm actually quite nervous for AJ....did you see him at the weigh-in. He wasn't serious at all, he was all laughs and fun. That's not normal AJ for a weigh-in...is he underestimating Ruiz? I actually think he is. He didn't look like he was taking Ruiz serious.

Everything is stacked against Ruiz here, but I feel like something is in the air..and I'm a big AJ fan. Even if Ruiz loses I think he's going to give it absolutely everything.

 

Ruiz is more overweight then he usually is.

 

Ruiz has a similar build like Mark Hunt (MMA fighter), both have a functional muscle to fat ratio that betrays their appearance. The similarly is especially evident in the chest area. those dudes look like pitbulls.

Ruiz told Joe Parker he wanted to come in heavier to offset AJ leaning on him to tire him out. not sure if that's a thing AJ does but if Ruiz intends on closing the distance, unleashing a combo and then clinching maybe it'll help?

 

Joshua’s fight is scheduled to start at 3:30am.

Katie Taylor is up at 1:30am, with Callum Smith following at 2:30am

 

He weighed more but he was in much better shape than when he fought Parker. The belly had gone but the handles were there.

This is Joshua’s heaviest opponent.

 

Ruiz was sucking in harder.
