Not a hundred percent finalized but seems to be close for June 1st @ MSG. IBF, WBO, IBO, and WBA super world heavyweight titles on the line (7th, 2nd, 4th and 3rd defense respectively of Joshua). Ruiz is ranked #11 by the WBA, but is absent from the other major organizations' top 15 rankings.

Ruiz himself appears to believe the deal all but done:

Not sure about the whole "easy" part; in fact stylistically I think Ruiz might have a chance at going deeper than Miller would've...

late stoppage aj. i cant see ruiz getting close, quick hands arent much good when you cant make up the distance.

I don't think Ruiz is as terrible as a lot seem to. I thought he beat Parker (only just). His lack of power will be an issue and he will absolutely get stopped but he's no mug. His body type doesn't exactly fill me with confidence but then he's gone the distance before.

Fighting AJ 5 weeks after a fight though, don't see how that can be a good thing.

I predict that Joshua’s size, range and power prove to be far too much for Ruiz, and he stops him within 4 rounds.

After that, people will dog on Ruiz, saying he was small and out of shape and it was a mismatch etc etc - I actually really rate Ruiz, but he is facing way too many physical and technical disadvantages against Joshua.

I honestly don’t see it being competitive. Hunter would be a more interesting opponent - he would move a bit and be looking to get inside a lot - but again, physically and technically he would be trying to make up a lot of ground.

I was actually excited about the Big Baby fight )-:

I was hoping for Hunter after Ortiz, but hopefully Ruiz will last into the later rounds.

Ruiz has fast hands but he doesn't really move all that well. Plus I don't think he has the power to hurt or stop AJ (he couldn't hurt a very shot White Wolf). AJ isn't the same offensive force he was Pre-Klitschko so I don't think he'll go in there to try and blow Ruiz out but he will get a stoppage mid-late rounds.

Better than some, worse than others. I was hoping for Hunter or Ortiz, so this is kinda meh. Ruiz might last longer than Miller and look ok in the opening rounds, but I just dont see him being competitive in the long stretch. He has fast hands and is good on the inside, but then again so is Joshua. I’m also not sold on the stamina of Ruiz, I think he gassed against Parker about halfway through their fight. His movement is also decent, but not much more.

I believe Joshua has problems himself with stamina and foot-work, so a fighter with GREAT work-rate and movement could pose a lot of trouble for him some day (Usyk).

Ruiz Jr. Is not the guy. Joshua TKO 7-9.

Edit. Hunter also has good foot-work and stamina, which is exactly why I hoped he would get the chance. Ortiz is just because I want to get rid of the so-called “boogeyman”(Lmao).

I wonder what they would do to the fight poster seeing as they magically gave Parker a six pac. Prob an above the neck poster

Ruiz is a good boxer. He has good skills, decent power, good skills and he is durable. But lack of size and stamina will make it very hard fight for him. Technically, skill-wise he is clearly better than Miller, but Miller is much bigger and has much better stamina, so he might have been a more dangerous opponent for AJ if he was able to take the fight into the deep waters. In the early rounds though I think Ruiz will be more competetive against Aj than Miller would have been.

Ruiz is pretty good, but he's too short, he'll never be able to find his range
