Just watched it again yes the first punch he felt it. I was too busy thinking of the couple of punches landed by Joshua in the corner. My head’s up my arse . apologies to the other bloke.

I got the prediction spot on. Loads of people were expecting a routine AJ KO win but I had Dubois winning by KO.

 

What often gets overlooked with Dubous is how young he is. There's only a couple of fighters in the top 20 or so younger than him amd neither are anywhere near his level. He could still be around in ten years time.

The other thing about him is that he's a bit of a throwback - he wins a few, loses, but keeps improving. He's proof that losing an 0 isn't the end of the world.

 

Anyone else enjoy that daddy cool song coming on at the end when it was showing replays of Joshua being humbled face first into the ropes?

 

Morning folks, a tsunami of replays and memes on social media today let me tell you. Still buzzing with the result and glad that the sport we love can still produce nights like that as a reminder as to why there is no other sport like it

On the basis of Dubois fights with Joshua and Hrgo. You've got to back the Croat.

Hrgovic gave Dubois a really tough fight and pushed him hard. Joshua didn't. I think (in hindsight) Joshua crumbles against Hrgovic's power and aggression.

 

Dubois v Bakole would be fun and explosive.

I really now do not wish to see AJ v Fury after recent performances from both.

Both are in (terminal) decline.

His all nighter trying to re programme his heavyweight boxing CV rankings to keep Joshua in his top 2 has taken it out on the lad.

Did hear rumours that his alogorithm was beginning to combust after trying to use the decline of Wilder, Fury and Joyce to highlight Joshua's greatness.

I've not enjoyed a fight this much since Calzaghe destroyed Lacey

 

I thought he looked slightly wobbled personally, but that's what I'm saying, in the past, a shot like that may have discouraged him, but here it seemed to spur him on, he kept calm, backed up and measured AJ for those counters. That surprised me.

no you’re right. The first punch did. All I could think about were the next two punches and they didn’t budge him. Quite the ending. Brilliant. Compare that to the snooze of whyte fury

 

Thought the build up, entrances for main event was incredible. Felt like such a big PPV fight and the fight delivered. Really exciting. Well done to Dubois. Fully deserved win.
