Yes, I was saying that Joshua should be the favourite on paper, i.e. by resumes.

I also see the head-to-head matchup going similarly to you, i.e. Wilder stopping him, as in the rest of my post you quoted.

Whytes chin is well and truly cracked.

If AJ loses this it's all well and truly over, or, if he badly struggles to win, it's pretty much all over for the Watford bloke as an elite fighter, bar the fat lady singing.

Parker has always been limited and is beyond his best, but he would spark out Whyte. It would resemble the second Chisora fight.
Joshua is going to put conehead to sleep.

We'll spend the money we save on US PPV fights - I paid £20 for Crawford-Spence.

Paying for quality matches sure. Charging for this? If I had to pay for this I would pass it up. It's the principle of it and not the price.

Since there is no rematch clause, if Whyte wins, does that mean he wins the series, since he won as an amateur, too?

    That would burn.

In a sense yes. They would officially be deadlocked in the pros at 1-1, but my feeling is that is Joshua loses to such a war-torn version of Whyte it means his collapse is so total & complete that he isn't rallying to claim a rubber match. So it would be an unofficial h2h trilogy as well as psychological victory for Whyte.

After the inevitable breakdown, they would fight again with Whyte on 50%. I wonder how much that would be?

Losing a series to Tyson Fury and losing one to Dillian Whyte (and falling to 25-4) would be two entirely different things. Just saying.

When Anthony Joshua was 22-0 and had an Olympic Gold medal and he was steaking in his career with three heavyweight title belts I assumed he'd one day be a lock for the Hall of Fame.

If he loses to Whyte and falls to 25-4, it would really start to not look good for him. He'd be heading into that realm of the Pinklon Thomas', Tony Tubbs', Joseph Parker's and Dillian Whyte's of the world.

I honestly think AJ will catch Whyte with a straight right hand in the first 3 rounds and it will be over

AJ fights very negatively so Whyte will just stalk him and walk into something and not recover

I think the green versions of themselves from 7 years ago beat the current versions of both of them. That's how I feel about this fight.

I tend to agree. The only thing Whyte has going for him is his big left hook. It's his best punch. And Joshua doesn't seem to take left hooks to the head very well. He freezes as the shudder goes through him.

So it'll be exciting to see how it shakes out.
