I’m sure most aren’t gonna show their faces after that. I’m a huge MMA fan as well as a huge boxing fan, I can get where the hardcore MMA guys who don’t really watch boxing are gonna talk **** and think that Ngannou had a chance against Joshua, but did he? Even without the KO Joshua should/would have shut him out. Skill wise in pugilism alone are gonna be way too much in Joshua’s favor, unless he were to take the fight as serious as Fury did. A lot of hardcore boxing fans will chalk this up to a win thinking this proves Joshua would wreck Ngannou in any type of combat, but most likely it would be Joshua sleeping at the end of any combat sport that isn’t boxing.

Why should I go to bed? I enjoy destroying you on this subject. And I'm not your son. Grandpa maybe but not son.

Regardless of the credentials of Ngannou or whether he deserved to be in these fights, he got a pay day that his story deserved and he took a stand against the modern day don king in Dana white.
His story of triumph in the face of adversity is inspiring and he got a payday that justifies his decision to take a stand.
And he has also given us an all time great knockout, he was billed as having a granite chin and he got folded like a deck chair.
A beautiful knockout and one I will watch over and over.

Parker clowning Wilder was the first reality check for the casual fans, this fight compounds the bitter truth of reality.

I think amateur is fair, educated amateur but still amateur.

The way an amateur does that to Fury is by fighting him when he's unfit.... And given Ngannou did better against unfit slob Fury than Wilder did, it doesn't look good for Wilder either.

Triangle theories aside, time is making it clear why neither Wilder or Fury wanted to fight AJ.

Yep. He was thrown to the lions, he boxed competitively (beat?) 1 lion but then lost to another.

There were moments when Ngannou definitely got AJ’s attention but the key for AJ was not to shell up but duly fire back - which is exactly what he did.

Perhaps a tad too cocky and far too early, Ngannou switched to southpaw just prior to that first KD - the effects of which he was still likely feeling even after he reverted back to conventional before getting hit with more right hands straight down the pipe.

PS - wasn’t sure but Fury just confirmed a two way rematch clause for the Usyk fight. Fury also said he begins training for Olek at the end of March24.

I don’t know that AJs post fight words were so bad. He certainly didn’t celebrate immediately following the KO - let alone acting OTT.

Maybe if he waits till Usyk is 40 and has another 24 rounds he might manage it - maybe!

Will definitely be a different type of fight for sure, and one that Usyk is gonna find a lot more difficult. Fury when in shape moves really well, but Usyk is really crafty too, so should be fun to watch.

    AJ is tedious again. Verbally

Shut your mouth and just fight. You did well tonight.

    Talking is not your forte...
