Yet it was relatively recent that most "experts" here favored Wilder to KTFO AJ :dunno A few key fights later and AJ is numero uno - although some are still giving Usyk his props. Also, Fury is living - rent free or not - in many posters heads.

Lotsa short memories or extreme recentism on BF24 :sisi2:

I just found this on twitter see if it works here Joshua is telling Ngannou don’t leave boxing and Ngannou looks like I don’t even know where Iam now lol, but the look on his face is like nothing I’ve seen before from a fighter and it could be so devastating that he can’t fight again

Lazy ass Zhang, scored two knockdowns and barely threw punches

I bet large on that fight not going the distance

And my follow up bet was the main event not going the distance in what would have been an ever larger bet had I won the first one

This is why I gave up betting

Fury has said legacy doesn’t concern him - but I think all the negative talk (most of it justified) regarding his comp. and infrequent fight schedule has him wanting to get in there to somehow regain some respect and status.

Otherwise, I can’t see why he would want to fight again - with a wife, a seemingly good marriage, many children and plenty of $$$ - and, he looks relatively happy and healthy.

Even the “fightin’ man” claims don’t ring true and are totally at odds with reality. His image has suffered badly, and he wants to try and repair that via the paths of least resistance.

If he could’ve dodged Usyk again (it was postponed at the least) he would’ve.

I think he now views the one fight (likely multiple fights, with the contractual two way rematch clause) vs Usyk as his potential linchpin for redemption, perhaps without any legitimate view to fighting anyone else thereafter.

It would certainly be a credit to him if he beat Usyk but there’s several other fighters he should’ve and should be facing.

Boxing matches aren’t won on paper nor by the “logic” of: A beat B who beat C, therefore A beats C - that “logic” has been disproven many times exactly due to the fact that styles makes fights. So, get in there and have those fights to prove your actual superiority.

Now, both Parker and AJ are representing REAL fighters - fighters who properly engage their comp., fighters who, in doing so, can lose fights but still come back, physically and mentally - improving themselves from the lessons learnt.

That gives rise to even greater quality in performances and compelling back stories - neither of which are seen so much, if at all, in fighters who fiercely protect their ZEROs - in terms of both their records and how many zeros they command in their pay cheques.

Lol “AJ showed class!! So gracious in victory!”

Lol :D Welp… too bad he isn’t the same in defeat! That Usyk rematch post fight was terrible by anthony. What’s he 35 now?? Never too late to ‘mature’ I guess

I've always said Joshua would've shattered Wilder's glass jaw. Joshua was fighting better guys in his first 10-15 than Wilder was after 30. There's a reason Wilder fought nothing but stiffs for years - he couldn't take a punch and his handlers knew it.

Wtf is that goofy ass second knockdown? :risas3:

AJ poked him with a halfway thrown right hand (that had picked up maybe 20% of full cruising speed) and Ngannou's whole body crumpled like a soda can under a car tire? Looney Tunes.

He had 72 minutes to do that, Olu.

Still, if they ever meet again, Usyk will be older and more shopworn, so he still has reason to hope.

That’s kinda what I noticed. The shots Joshua dropped ngannou with were good hard shots (Mainly the first and third) but they weren’t any harder than that right hand Joshua caught Usyk with in round ten of their rematch. Let’s be honest.

Ngannou’s chin was blown out of proportion by many. Good chin yes. But not this Tex Cobbesque chin many have said. Stipe stunned him a few times and while I like Stipe… he’s not a huge puncher. Good but not massive.

I'd go as far as to say if you're hurt by any MMA striker it's a good bet your chin isn't up to boxing world class standards.

Fury is reaping some serious karma.. Joshua destroyed Wallin & Ngannou & outboxed Wilders daddy Parker.. never thought id turn until an AJ fan but the guy did the business & cleaned up Furys mess.. restored some much needed pride in boxing.. good luck to Francis but he got a humbling was getting too cocky.. & now we get do away with the cringe African sob story every fkin day too .. bonus.. go back to MMA
