Nah still doesn’t interest me, good for girls who are getting into boxing but I don’t want to see it on a card I’m paying hard earned money for. It’s an inferior product, anyone saying otherwise is being emotional.

Fury fought Ngannou, a guy who had been a professional MMA fighter for 10 years and had KOed champions like dos Santos, Overeem and Velasquez.

Joshua is fighting a Youtuber who has beaten nobody and probably never will.

No wonder this farce is going ahead. Some people are actually defending it.

There's a sucker born every minute!

Yeah people writing off Jake seeing the distance too easily.

I think he will definitely see 3-4 rounds at least. 50-50 whether he goes the distance. He's got a big melon head, he's fast and has good footwork. He can evade AJ for a while and make it a boring fight. Whether he can mount much of an offence on AJ on the other hand, we'll see..

This thread is doing very well. ( Well done Mr 80, I think the usual RBR, FULL personal fighters names may have helped ;) )

There's some quite serious and not so serious input getting generated here and elsewhere, considering

The fat bollocks heavyweight, the irrelevant (atm) Fury, you know, the retired bloke...has opened his gob and offered a 1 Mil bet with AJ that Paul beats him.

AJ has turned it down and dismissed it. I don't blame him because even though he ( AJ) spanks this yanks arse with absolute ease, he really doesn't need to give any kind of legitimacy to the retired bloke..Fury just needs to continue to empty his recycling bins in Morecambe at the local recycling centre and for now, and stfu.....

However, once AJ puts Paul to sleep, then Fury needs to step up and un-retire and have this long awaited all British stadium filling bout, which, yes, is very well past it's SBD, but will still generate a ton of interest and money.

    Short notice, big money offer.
    36 years old.
Coming off of a brutally one sided KO loss.

Honestly, if there is such an award then Fury would be the better candidate for it. Mind you, Fury was an active champion and he actually chased the Ngannou fight. Joshua had this nonsense thrown at him.
Hell, Joshua vs Ngannou was a bigger sellout moment for Joshua.

Little wonder this farce is going to make so much money. People have fallen for it hook, line and sinker and enough of them will pay to watch it to make it viable.

A vote for this farce is a vote against boxing.

There are levels right throughout boxing, though. You could make the same argument for the likes of Mohammed Alakel, who would probably lose to a British club-level journeyman, but because he is from Riyadh and a big part of Riyadh season, he finds himself on incredible cards like the one at the weekend. I've got no interest in seeing him on a card I am paying for, I'd much rather watch Amanda Serrano fight.

It's an argument people make against Inoue when they don't have him as P4P number one; they say how the smaller weights aren't interesting or stacked. I'm not going to sit here and argue that women's boxing is collectively better than the men's. I know it's not, but just to completely shut them out isn't the answer either.

You notice the acceptance of this too? Its most certainly there. Freak show fights are the norm now and fans have been conditioned into liking this.
I cant imagine this fight even being sanctioned when HBO was still in boxing.

****, I actually enjoyed Wings vs Boogie.

First, Joshua v Paul is a bad joke.
    But, I have seen worse.
    And it's Mayweather again...

This one probably flew under the radar of most, but
Floyd Mayweather-Tenshin Nasukawa left a particularly foul taste in the mouth

Great example of a farce. But we are talking sellouts here and Joshua-Paul is the daddy of them all.

Mayweather-Nasukawa stunk to high heaven. But it was an exhibition.

Joshua-Paul is a sanctioned boxing match and like the Mike Tyson farce, it will appear on their records.

I still think that Fury vs Ngannou was worse.

Fury was an active champion chasing that fight, he talked about it for a while.
But, whatever, its all so meaningless and sad. I dont even know why I am defending Joshua here. "You want a turd sandwich, or you want a turd sandwich without the vegan mayo?"
