People often ignore that AJ was able to get that kill shot off because Ngannou was already visibly concussed from a previous knockdown, that's why he approached AJ with so little regard to defense in that clip.

I don't think Jake will come in that open without AJ softening him up with a couple earlier blows as well.

Jake's defense is untested and he'll have to get past AJ's reach to land a shot, Jake's chin is unproven against an explosive heavyweight, as soon as he feels AJ's power he will go into a shell, run and clinch.

Yes, I do think Jake will do whatever he can to avoid getting hit by that type of shot. He will run, he will clinch, so when AJ does land it won't be as a clean and sharp as his blow against Ngannou.

For Jake's health he actually has to avoid that exact type of shot landing, Ngannou was 270+ lbs of muscle with a slight size advantage on AJ taking that power, Jake will have the opposite of that in comparison.

Which legit fighter did McGregor knock out in the boxing ring? They're two different sports. Floyd is a far better P4P boxer than Joshua is, so it was a bigger skill mismatch given it was his pro boxing debut. It might be more dangerous from a one punch KO perspective but the skill disparity was wider in the Floyd and McGregor fight.

Totally agree with this, but even if it is a rarity, if we completely remove women's boxing from all big cards, then we don't get any of these matchups at all. Female athletes should be represented on boxing cards. I am a hypocrite because I would never watch any other female sports, but I am impressed with how much the skill set has improved at the top level of women's boxing over the last decade, which is why I am an advocate for them having their place in the sport, especially if it continues on this trajectory.
