Usyk would have adjusted his style for whatever tactics Joshua brought to the ring last night.

I get the impression Usyk has a few plans to adopt and gears to go through depending on how the fight is progressing.

Joshua needed a huge early bomb but faced an opponent totally focussed and ready to go from when he landed in the UK.

 

It might not have been enough. I agree Usyk has lots of plans. But from Joshua's viewpoint, trying to out chess Usyk is not the way. Best change was trying to break his rythem and take him out.

Could tell from the ring walks Usyk fancied it. Head down and straight to the ring. Joshua was too busy fist pumping the crowd and standing on podiums.

 

Please no rematch. Eddie needs to do the right thing by joshua and start rebuilding him now. Was man against boy last night. Joshua had every single advantage going and still got outclassed. No shame in that. But for joshuas own benefit he needs to take a step back now and start rebuilding his confidence. Just going to go from bad to worse if he takes the rematch. Hes not beating usyk at this point in time. Even usyk said himself he thought it was going to be much harder than it was.

2 rematches in 3 for Joshua. If he wins the belts back then loses again and rematches x repeat I think people will get tired of it.

 

I am tired of rematch clauses and the the Governing Bodies should take a stand to get rid of these.

People should work their way through the rankings for their earned shot at a title and the same should apply to defeated champions.

 

Agree. The bubbles burst now anyway. Most of joshuas fans are casuals...quite a lot started to slowly move on after they realised he wasnt gonna be undefeatable after ruiz one. Eddie done a good job getting them to stick around...but they,ll turn off looking for the next big thing after last night. The people around joshua have made enough money from him...now its time to find out if the kid actually has a future in boxing. Usyk rematch will finish him imo.

Time to take a step back...and give the guy a chance to rebuild and maybe even achieve all that he talks about. Mckracken needs replaced imo as well. He done a good job...and maybe hes done the best job possible with joshua but its time to find out if anyone can do any better with him.

I see AJ is being quoted saying the performance wasn't about Usyk, it was all about what AJ "allowed Usyk to do".

Whilst in a two-horse race there's always an element of truth in one side affecting the other, this kind of comment is deluded, disrespectful and arrogant.

 

AJ is deluded and arrogant. Also he needs to clip his team a bit look how many people he surrounds himself with these days it seems to grow every fight.

I know boxing has evolved but there’s 30 men in his entourage. Far too many.

What does a top fighter need? Head trainer, assistant trainer, cutman, S&C coach, promoter, manager, nutritionist?

Think Usyk will lose a belt soon, as they will call a mandatory and he wont be able to accept, as has to have rematch first. Rematch clauses in mandatory fights should not be allowed.
