Joshua will quickly realise this is no old or morbidly obese man coming just for the hefty pay slip.

This is a deranged, ruthless, sadistic killer coming straight at him from the opening bell at 10.30pm tonight

Can you imagine what a historically significant moment it would be for Usyk to win this?

For Joshua it's just a good win and another defence before the money fight, for Usyk it's arguably a HOF moment and a big shake up for a heavyweight division that has been regarded for decades as too big for competition. An ex-cruiser not known for power topping the 'super' heavyweight division? Skills beating size at the highest level?

How can you not root for Usyk in this?

Not really, it was a measured pace for about 5 rounds, he dropped Wlad, got over excited and was dead on his feet gassed until the 9th round, but stupid ass Vitali told Wlad to ease up, allowing him time for one more burst of energy.

    I have a feeling it'll be a repeat of Toney-Holyfield.

Yes this would be historic indeed, and some fresh air added to it all.
    Go Uysk!

If Usyk can pull it off it shows that he's literally spent years plotting this moment.

He has to bring more than he's shown in the last number of years.

He's clearly cunning & high IQ, we'll see what he brings.

You got me there. Average for a heavyweight is 45 punches per round and he threw 35 that time.

Evander was two weeks shy of turning 41 in that fight. At least he was 36 and a live dog the first time he fought Lewis. Age should be a factor though, even if the dynamic is anything like Holy/Lewis because both Usyk and AJ are two years younger. There should be more speed and stamina on either side.

It kind of begs the question, do heavyweights peak later? Does their prime last longer or is their decline slower post prime?

You are fearful that an Usyk win becuse it would position him for a match with Fury. He'd toy with Fury, make him pull an Atomic Bull McCall type breakdown mid fight. The Gypsy Queen would be putty in Usyks hands.

The rounds AJ went all out, the 5th and the 11th, literally emptying his tank, he threw 53 and 49 punches. Usyk not going all out, but simply slowly amping up the pressure against Witherspoon in the last 4 rounds, threw 53, 63, 67 and 72.
