I think this is because us Brits really want him to be as good as his dad, who was an actual people's champ unlike the current self-styled one. There probably will continue to be, if not appetite for his fights, then a tolerance for them, for a fight or two more. But sooner or later he has to accept his own irrelevance to the sport.

He probably sells tickets because his father is popular. Imagine if your favorite fighter's son was having fights near you. I'd guess he's good economically.

Last time I saw Johnny Fisher he got buzzed real good when he was going in with a wide as hell hook. Wasn't hurt long but it definitely had an effect, at least I thought so. Curious to see if he's improved in that area.
