Nice entrance, but full disclosure I’m just a country boy from Arkansas so I dig John Denver, didn’t know Brits were so fond of it.

 

I think another reason our attachment to crap fighters might seem a bit odd to, say, Americans, is that we're a small country and in comparative terms all our fighters are "local". I imagine anyone from Massachu... Massachusets? Massacheusets?? The place the Dropkick Murphys are from, would support a Boston fighter, or a Texan would support a Houston one. A lot of your states are country-sized to us. Calzaghe, Josh Taylor and Amir Khan were all from different countries within the UK but they're all "our" fighters, no matter where you're from within our isles. We're insular like that. But per capita we have a lot of boxing fans, which is how you end up with apparently large amounts of hype behind a mediocre boxer like Hatton.

 

Armstrong could do well here. I think he’ll last the decent and Fisher will gas later on. Good fun fight for the Southern Area Title!
