Navarrete v Valdez at the weekend was one hell of a fight and not even discussed on the British Forum even though it was live on Sky Sports.

Joshua has fought twice this year and would have fought in December if not for Saudi Arabia changing the date. Usyk vs Dubois will be interesting but again on PPV, same with Smith vs Eubank II.

Cordina would beat Navarrete pretty easily in my opinion - Cordina's style is all wrong for Navarrete. I doubt Navarrete would want to fight Cordina. I can see him cashing out against Shakur Stevenson.

Some of your replies are odd and defensive. Why not counter with something positive, like "Joshua will have fought 3 times in 9 months"?

 

Navarette has a similar style to Rakhimov who Cordina beat in a close fight but one where everyone thought he won. Navarette is tight at the weight - watch his fight against Liam Wilson who he fought before Valdez. I think Cordina is the best at 130 right now but he needs to look for unifications ASAP. I saw the highlights that's it. To be honest, I only really watch the fights in the UK. I haven't even had time to watch Haney vs Lomachenko or Spence vs Crawford in full.

That wasn't my intention. It's sad so many fights are on PPV that shouldn't be. I don't see either of the two fights I mentioned doing many buys at all. I think Smith vs Eubank II might do more than Usyk vs Dubois.

 

The IFL live thing last night seemed a complete disaster.

Minimal paying customers and only about 5 of the 20 people on the poster turned up.

I totally agree. On top of Matchroom's boring event on Saturday, it was just what we all needed. Navarrate vs Valdez was a cracking fight !
