I agree. But both Fury and Wilder will r**e him badly. He knows it, Eddie knows it, so that is why he already failed the Fury negotiations twice. It's Fury who played his part poorly the first time, but after the two AJ's recent fights it's clear.

 

Did anyone see clips of Helenius' fight last week? It genuinely looks like they rigged a ring up in a car park. That's the level of opponent that Joshua struggled with. I'm actually shocked at what's happened to him. People spent a year after the Usyk defeat taking the mick out of his training team screaming 'brilliant AJ' etc but I always saw it as quite telling. He clearly needs that encouragement.

 

I agree with your points about AJ vs Helenius. It was certainly not particularly impressive and it has really shocked me that so many people thinks that the old AJ is back ?

 

I know he's at it, but Frank saying "it was boring until the knockout" wasn't an unfair opinion for once.

Because of their poor understanding - they saw a knockout, but didn't saw the struggle AJ had. Plus, they seem to miss that Helenius was never a top fighter, just a decent one, but currently past his prime.
