So it wouldn't be an embarrassing loss? That was my original post. Not really interested in arguing about the degree of embarrassment.

I know the fight isn't the best but I'm willing to pay for this because I love this sport and I won't skimp on this.

Even better: Helenius is actually 4-1 in his last 5, with 4 KO's (though two of them were no-name bums and the other one he beat was face-first brawler Kownacki x2).

Helenius has a better chance of winning than Whyte did so it's an upgrade I suppose.

Also, not what Joshua prepared for at all. I'm surprised they've not picked somebody short and squat

Forgive my confusion. How an earth can a fighter who just fought last week step in with AJ one week later?

He's probably sore, tired and mentally drained from the last fight last week! If it really Is Helenius, this is probably the weakest move Eddie Hearn has done In his career as a promoter.

AJ's done. Whatever will or champion courage he had was beat out of him.
They were looking at all the decent opponents that threw their names in the hat, and said not yet, let's wait for the shottest leftover opponent that fought last week.
When Vikings were invading back in medieval times people didn't know to attack their glass jaws. The science just wasn't advanced enough back then.

Eddie's spent the last 3 days trying to get Gary Cornish out of retirement but sadly it didn't work out.

Very few people believe that Helenius can cause a surprise, the reason for this is probably his weak Chin and weak Stamina, Helenius can be very dangerous when comming forward, but I think that this will not be a big problem for Joshua...

Helenius barely broke a sweat on saturday and didn't take a single shot. His opponent was a crude brawler and the fight was a complete mismatch.

Not that it makes much difference. He'd get knocked out in three rounds unless AJ gets Ruiz vibes and fights super cautiously.

As a late replacement, considering they dropped the ppv, I'm ok with this tbh.

AJ isn't a champion, he's a man on the comeback trail. It's a step up from Franklin imo.

He should destroy Helenius if he's at the level we believe. He does that, he's in running to take on a legit top 5 opponent and work his way towards a Fury title shot.

Helenius, Zhang, Fury. Maybe even a trilogy with Usyk if he wins those 3.

Is it actually possible for someone to fight twice in the space of a week? I’m amazed the boxing board are letting it go ahead
